Seat Counters 25/26

I thought straight off this morning it was very quiet and although i thought it would be better later just couldn't see it being substantially better in absolute numbers from such a low base.
In the end EMB [thankyou] puts it @1000 this morning/1500 this afternoon. It's another 2500 blues and for some it may be their first Wembley or maybe even their first game & that's a positive.
Will FA be filling all those lower tier unsold seats around 5K with
schools or do they just leave as is

however you dress it up the whole thing is a shit show, and i don't blame City fans, the semi final should be a showcase game, but every year 200 miles away, ludicrous pricing, shit transport, and crap kick off times alienates huge chunks of people who would like to go. 75% of the tickets are vastly overpriced, i just think the whole thing should be more attractive and it just isn't, and football as a body doesn't give a shit
I totally agree that semi-finals shouldnt be at Wembley, but had it been at a neutral ground it would have been at the Emirates, London Stadium or WHL & due to the 3pm blackout on a Saturday for TV, it would still have been a shit kick off time

It’s attractive to the fans who pretty much fill it every time there’s a semi final at Wembley

Or Villa Park?

i will be there, purchased 4 tickets, but i have sympathy for those who cannot afford it, the problem is there is no ground in the midlands big enough and wembley uses it as a cash cow and to hell with the fans from up north, City fans have nearly 3 times the distance to travel than southampton, that is not fair

I know plenty of blues who aren't going to this one, two main reasons being the ko time and the cost and to be honest if the final is the same time I suspect many won't attend that game either. Had it been at 3.00 like the other semi then i think more would go but a 5.15ko puts plenty off going. It's mad that we won't know the ko time for the final until less than three weeks before the game. Why can't it be announced now?

They've been once or twice.
Lets see how many would go after 20 odd visits in 12 years
I’ve never been to a semi final merely out of loyalty or some sense of duty. Every single season I can’t fucking wait to get to Wembley when we’ve won the QF. Most football fans are the same.

Going to Wembley for a semi is a big fun exciting day out not some horrendous chore like some people on here strangely imply it is.

SAw a pic on Southampton facebook page with Saints fans going to WHL for there semi-final with Liverpool in '86 & the London grounds are probably closer than Villa Park to being halfway between the 2 teams.
Geography is not your strongest subject.

Later kick off means more boozing time, what’s not to like?

We run a coach to most away games, out of the 56 who went to the league cup final, 18 are going this time.
Mixture of reasons, cost, kick off time, boredom with going to Wembley, the fact that they think we will be going again in 5 weeks.
Football supporters have changed from when I was a kid, nothing would have stopped me,but times have changed and people have other priorities these days.

Not everyone who goes to a a game has drinking themselves into oblivion as the main priority, for some getting their young family / elderly relatives back at a reasonable time without having to leave early or fight throughout a stampede rank slightly higher

we are gonna get shown up by fucking Southampton lads, no matter how you much you downplay it's embarrassing for a club like Manchester City
