Bit torn. Didn’t think this was a red card 14 years ago so don’t think it was red today. Nonetheless, if the authorities determine such merits a red, then who am I to argue.

Arsenal didn’t bottle it today, but those in charge certainly did.

Of course Gabriel, you would say that.

Definitely a red card, the ref and var will be marked down for not sending him off. The more you watch it, the more it’s a red card.

Let's just say it for what it is, awful decision, that **** should be banned for the next 3 games, nevermind seeing out that game with 10 men.

Surprise surprise though Arsenal haven't had a red card all season.

Big up Erling for rattling him, that's why he's the best.

He should be banned for the next 3, i can understand a ref missing it (although its bloody hard) but VAR missing it brings either competence or integrity into question.

Missed it at the match, was too busy looking at the imminent sub but just seen the replay, how is var not telling Taylor to have a look at that? If you're using the Haaland didnt go down reasoning then you're effectively encouraging play acting.

Dreadful decision, that's not a decision he can maybe let ride for the sake of the game, which itself is wrong but slightly understandable. That's a clear headbutt attempt, it's a red card by every single metric you want to assess it by.

Every day of the week. Its the stupidest, most pathetic red card a player could get and I just dont understand why they do it. But its a red 99 times out of 100.

Absolutely blatant and a red card offence all day. It's scandalous that var looked at that, or didn't, and saw nothing in it. Yellows each would be fair for the pulling and squaring up to each other if that's what the ref decides, but to deem that intentional headbutt, which did connect, as no further action is just wrong.

To add insult to injury Gabriel should also have been booked for pulling Haaland's shirt clean off his back, so even a second yellow here would have been a sending off.

Even worse though, and I need to watch this back for the sheer ridiculousness of it, but I am sure that Taylor gave a free kick to arsenal when Raya kicked the ball out and fell to the ground with the force of his own kick, not a single city challenge, not a player even near him, yet we got punished.

He plays in the next 2 games. That gives an advantage to Arsenal. VAR is a joke. They saw the head butt on their monitors, in slow motion, in freeze frame. and the corrupt VAR officials still didn't think it was a red card offence.

It's worse than that, they didn't even think it was worth asking the ref to take a look.

I remember the Nasri one and the Nunez one but they are all deemed in the moment an idiotic straight red. I just can't get my head around VAR not telling the ref to take a closer look.

VAR clearing it too is very fishy. Doubt it will get over turned as ranks will be closed and we won. Taylor got every major call wrong today and needs to be demoted next week. I think we both got 2 yellows with Arsenal having double the fouls too. And then seven minutes added on at the end after one in the first half with 2 goals. As pep says, we win on our own
