Arsenal (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

What this manager and this team have given me, I can literally stop watching football and for the rest of my life go back and watch City games again and again. It would be fine, no regrets. I mean it...

I have no words for all the boys dying out there till the final second so as to deliver for the cause, for all of us. Particularly the ones who cannot be there all these years. Those who are struggling and suffering from a distance, exactly like they do. That's what they have done. We didn't ask for this, but we live our lives through City now. That's our fate. There's no choice any more, not for us there isn't. Pep and his boys should know that...

I have no words for all the clowns pretending to be City fans, who will not hesitate to point the finger at the first mistake a player of ours makes. Tonight the scapegoat would be Donna, tomorrow somebody else, surely. People who, after everything they've witnessed all these years, seriously (?) believe Pep has nothing else to offer, they want the man out. They've been exposed time after time, but they'll keep embarrassing themselves, nothing will change. It's the way of the world...

I'm not going to talk about Taylor either. There's no point. The club has accepted this situation from day 1, it has become City's reality on the pitch. You know it, I know it, Pep knows it, you can bet your lives everybody in that dressing room knows it. It's not just the opposition, not just a certain team we're playing against. There are more. Always has been, don't expect it to change any time soon. It's what it is...

Pep's City made us cry once again tonight. A team that has faced unbelievable problems, a team with significant limitations decision makers failed to adress. Still a team that is determined to fight till the very end, with players prepaired to die on the pitch. For their manager, their teammates, for all of us, as I've already said. Guardiola keeps operating as a magician. I've seen good managers collapsing with like 20% of the problems he's dealing with, not him. He keeps providing solutions, proving everyone wrong. No coincidence the most intelligent of City's enemies in the industry are literally praying for him to quit, fuck off England. I will say no more...

After everything we've been through this season, to be in the position we are at the moment, is already inconceivable. City are looking ahead for the impossible. I'm not even going to spell it. Whatever happens, what I do know is that I'm going to be there to applaud. And I know I won't be alone in this...

Congratulations to everybody in that dressing room, even the ones who did not participate tonight. Proud of them all. Good luck wholeheartedly. Come on City!

I remember a player getting sent of years ago for taking a swing at a player from behind him, i.e. the payer he'd taken a swing at didn't even know about it - didn't make any contact (or mean to), but the ref sent him off for intent.
I remember horlock getting sent off for aggressive walking so how thats not a sending off can only be explained by the shirt colour

Lots of talk on Sky and by Arteta of all the chances Arsenal missed. Did I imagine the excellent ones we missed?
The xg was 1.41 v 1.53 so the difference was the fact that we had better finishers than Arsenal in a very close game.

To those in the Match Day Thread calling Donnarumma a "shit keeper" and demanding we get rid of him - genuinely staggering.

This is a goalkeeper who has been outstanding for us. One mistake doesn't erase that, and the speed at which some people forget it says everything about them, not him.

Being a supporter means backing the players when it's hard, not just when it's easy. Gigi KNEW he made a mistake - he doesn't need the so-called fans piling on. What he needs is to feel the fans have his back, instead of thrusting a knife in it.

Thankfully his teammates understood that, just as they did with Khusanov and Trafford when they needed it. Shame some on here don't.

Semenyo also came in for some pelters - you do remember how underwhelming David Silva was in his first season. Give the guy a chance!

If your support is conditional on perfection and no-one is allowed to make a mistake, it isn't really support at all.
We’d be nowhere near this position without the vital contributions of both those players this season

Except for once or twice and goal kicks they were not too bad

Sadly for them it exposed how Fukin shite they are

First observation is pile on West Ham if you want a free Season Ticket next season I’m convinced that will be the game that fucks these useless twats off

Yeah the one right at the start when Gabriel deflected it onto the post with his arm.

My fear for us now is that in a shootout for GD City have more firepower than us so that'll be hard - we will need to batterI a team I think.
I dont think you are capable of that in your current state. I said in the prematch thread that this game suited you as you didnt have to win so you could sit back as you did particularly in the 2H until we scored. You will find it more difficult in the ensuing games when you have to make the pace

For a couple of posts, yes. Bailed after I saw the usual vitriol being posted about our lads.
You have to ignore it - mainly people who passionately want City to win and get nervous and negative. I stayed with it all the way through as my streams kept constantly dropping out especially over last 20 mins !

Bizzare to say the least
