US & Israel attack Iran

How different this war would be if Iran was situated within striking distance of the USA.
The American people are watching the war like it's watching a movie rather than reality, be a different ballgame if Iran were bombing schools and infrastructure on the USA mainland.
This situation enables them to feel like it's a Top Gun movie and they have all the cards rather than the reality of war.
Trump is a traitor to the USA and he will eventually either die or flee to Russia leaving the USA in mess that will take years to recover from internationally.

Nice idea but it won't happen as too many powerful people would have to admit they failed to stop him

So many ceasefires...

Do you mean a ceasefire was agreed including for Iran to lift its blockade and during the ceasefire the Americans started their own blockade? Now that would be daft.

Yes that’s the one. The one they didn’t re-open the strait because of reasons. Which was my original post that started this exchange. We are on a loop.

The original statement by Pakistan (reportedly written for them by USA) clearly stated that Lebanon was included.

Pakistan said it was, the US said it wasn’t. The statement wasn’t written by the White House.

Once the Strait was opened, following the Lebanon ceasefire, the US blockade should have been lifted - the only reason I can think that they haven’t is to try and get a quick resolution to end the war they started but it’s having the opposite effect currently.

From what I can see all that is needed is for Trump to be able to claim some kind of victory, even if it's pyric in nature, the other big looser in all of this is Israel, the stated aim of regime collapse has failed they threw all they had at Iran but still they stand, and the big fear is that they will be back more powerful and better armed next time, they are the equivalent to the Ukraine for China especially in theory they should have rolled over but they did not they fought back and some of their home made tech has been vey good and effective

The big fear is that this idiotic war has handed control of the gulf region to China, and lets be honest here Iran is virtually a Chinese proxy state, the gulf states will have to dance to the Chinese tune rather than American and to some extent Israeli tunes, China will want stability of energy supply first and foremost, I don't believe that when this is all over there will be any AMerican bases in the gulf but there won't be Chinese bases either they don't need them

They want to sell their own oil to countries around the world at inflated prices due to lack of choice.

I read somewhere (might have been on here...) that that's a long term plan. Tankers are designed to take specific oils, it takes a long time to fill them, and they don't use the Suez or Panama canals. It's a logistical nightmare.

I assume that the US oil isn't great for all uses either.

West, this was a question i asked in the trump thread and you may have answered it.
The US control Venezuelan oil and therefore set a price per barrel, as long as someone is willing or has to pay it.
The US sell their own oil and the price etc.
Are you saying that by blockading the Strait and fucking up supply, America is/can dictate the price of the oil that is available and therefore the longer this war/truce/blockade goes on, the more beneficial it is to the US ?

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if that’s what Trump is thinking. The complexities of different types of crude won’t have crossed his tiny little brain, and it’s highly likely that his cunning plan will fail completely for reasons understood by the oil industry and few others.
