I highly doubt seeing their title rivals win a game whilst being poor would give them that huge of a boost. It would be as usually described, a sign of champions. Especially after we beat them so convincingly (we just couldn’t finish) and they only beat Burnley by two with set piece goals.
 
Arsenal will go away to Madrid midweek. If Newcastle go and park the bus and don’t stupidly play open into Arsenal’s counterattacking hands, they can pull off a surprise like Bournemouth.
 
Was supremely confident after the Goon win , but the Burnley game has put things into perspective , its gonna be a five game slog , beg, borrow , steal , kick , foul, fight for every three points , f*ck the beautiful game for a month , just get the results because the Goons will be doing exactly the same.
Difference is Pep has done it many times before and Legohead is an abject failure.
 
We all know what happened when Liverpool went chasing goal difference, let's focus on getting 3 points and let the goal difference look after itself....

This is where it comes down to bottle, the pressure now ramps up massively for arsenal, we at least have a manager who's done it before who will know how to manage them, and at least we can get a bit of rest between Saturday and Everton away whereas they've got a semi final against a b@stard of a team
 
Can't see us winning all of our remaining games. Neither will Arsenal.

Let's see who's got the steel, the resolve, the mindset and the bit of good fortune.
 
Opta tool has the following PL probabilities. They must be using data from the entire season to get these outcomes but City's probability has improved a lot as a result of tonight's win. I forget what it was, but it was a lot smaller than the 34% they are quoting now.

Arsenal have been fucking pants for weeks. The wins they’ve had they’ve scraped, and it’s not been many. They’re serial bottlers and shit the bed in April and May every season.

Why do people suddenly think they’re going to demolish teams?

City keep winning games, whatever score line, the pressure will get to them.

If you look at this season, it’s been different in how competitive it’s been. The fewest number of hammerings (4 goal wins) in a league season in so many years, anyone can beat anyone, not much between many teams and no outstanding side I think we can all agree on.

I can’t see both ourselves and Arsenal winning all 5 remaining games. Neither side has looked capable of doing such all season. This isn’t prime city v prime Liverpool.

It’ll be some run in.

For some reason the games I fancy Arsenal to drop points in most are their next two which are at home.
