Seat Counters 25/26

How does 25k compare to the numbers we took to the semi-final with Forest last season? The attendance was 72,976. I remember the City crowd being loud, probably helped by an early goal from Rico.

Good work mate. Counting the counters. Looks like EMB is seat counter of the year and I’d say well deserved for sheer consistency.
More like Pessimistic twat of the year! Although it seems my pessimism wasn't completely misplaced on this occasion.

The League Cup Final was action packed, car crash seat counting, and in comparison this one has been a real damp squib.

There was a little bit of false hope when they gave members the option to buy 3 tickets, with certain individuals claiming we were about to witness a 'bun fight' for tickets.

Let's hope the boys get the job done on Saturday so we can do it all again in a couple of weeks!

By the way, Chelsea fan at work says they haven’t sold out and are giving tickets away. He says he doesn’t blame us as we play there more than anyone and it’s half way across the country… 20 minutes for them.
2 Spurs fans in the office where I work down in London - both have opined how expensive it must be following City. It seems the penny my be starting to drop slowly with other fanbases.

Tbf I don’t see Bluesmith as being bottom of the table. There were a few posters who said our following would be embarrassing (or words along those lines) that deserve the accolade.

Switching to Chelsea, they always brought a big following when we competed in the second division and I respect that more than worrying to what extent they are funding the costs of Wembley. Like us they’ve been to many finals and semi finals and some fans have been alienated by owner led ticket touting.

Agreed.

Agreed. Chelsea turned up at Maine Road in the 80s. We never saw Leeds and they are just over 30 miles away.

with AI tools like Claude co-worker does the community of seat counters feel threatened by AI replacing their jobs? tradition v real time seat counting?
No. It will only makes our jobs easier. AI can probably count the seats and even compare sales rates with simlar games, but there's no way it can replicate the human touch: knowledge of how positive the fanbase is feeling, how skint everyone is, Wembley apathy, train times, kick off times etc.

Even if it could, asking an AI agent for a number can never replace the buzz of sitting in the queue, seeing blocks appear and disappear and the thrill of totting up numbers on your calculator.

Seat Counters Forever.

Their STs are hundreds more than ours which goes some way to make following their team as much as it costs us. Same for Chelsea.

what a wonderful put down of AI, who else is buzzing to see those 250 pound cup final tickets sell at the rate of about 1 a day, it's what we live for
