We did lose against Palace in last season's FA Cup final but the outcome would have been totally different if their keeper was correctly sent off. Perhaps Haaland should have taken the penalty instead of Marmoush (although he did have a good record at his previous club), but overall our overall attitude wasn't bad at all in that game either. Nothing is different to our current task vs Southampton. We shouldn't expect them to rollover but we should have enough quality to win to progress.

Where are City fans drinking in London before the match?

Correct

For the first time since Watford I believe we are going to turn up and play the game out as per form book

5-0 City

No room for any complacency, but expect to see some changes, but it will still be a strong side. Possibly Gonzalez, Lewis and Savinho starting.
I would think Savinho is likely to start but need ti see weather forecast first, dont want him getting blown over if its windy

Haaland vs Harwood-Bellis.

Hmmm…

I hate to say it, but if a much changed City team could not be seen to be too much for a Southampton team that is doing well, then we are not who we claim to be.

That said, I will be very disappointed, and unhappy, if we do not put a “full strength” team on the field (with the obvious changes to the Arsenal game, i.e. Trafford and Nico G, with NOR at LB).

Personally, I’d also give Marmoush a chance to stretch his legs in the space behind their back four and sit Semenyo for 60-70 mins, as AS has not been at his best for a couple of games now.

Lastly, while we obviously need to play the game on grass, not paper, anyone believing this will be an upset victory for Soton at this stage of the competition is not respecting this City squad. There is no reason to fear ANY opponent left in this competition and it should be more silverware for the season.

Come on City!!!

Tricky one this, as are all semis. I think Pep will rotate but Southampton are on a role and saw off Arsenal. They will have a lot of excited fans and that might make it difficult for us to assert our normal game. We need to be clinical and careful not to get caught on the break, and definitely don’t want extra time (unless we are a goal down in injury time).

The bookies give us roughly a 85% chance to win in 90 minutes and 92% chance to reach the final.

Southampton have arguably as big a match on Tuesday against Ipswich. A win in that game puts them level with Ipswich and looking at possible automatic promotion. So maybe half an eye elsewhere.

Driving down tomorrow, left it last minute, anyone know anywhere to park? Everywhere I’ve looked is full…. I know I know
