Foden looks like how he looked when he first got his start in the team, he's lost a lot of mass and that's making him so easy to push off the ball. Tackles he used to bounce off he's now falling over losing balance.

I think his main issue is that he’s lost any physicality he once had. His technique is still there but he doesn’t look strong enough or fit enough to compete.

There was a moment in the first half when the ball was played to him just inside the box, 18 months ago he would of turned and tucked it into the corner, instead he passed it.

Foden has never enjoyed the upper body strength needed to excel in an English midfield, always coltish. I’d hoped that he would miss the 2024 Europeans and just take the summer off to bulk up, but he understandably went. Pretty sure he won’t be going anywhere this summer, though, so a chance to rest and get properly prepared.
