4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Barely even noticed him for the majority of today.

I actually like him, there's a decent player in there.... Somewhere.

"Obviously not.." then using his words regarding players to try and prove a point is redundant.
So if Peps views don't tally with your opinion, his words are redundant? He isn't going to slaughter any player but it's not a linear choice of calling him shit in public or dishing out false praise, he didnt have to say anything, he wasn't even asked about his performance. Could it not be as simple as you've not seen what Pep has seen rather than Pep is lying?

No, but saying that your opinion is the only valid one because Pep said he was great doesn't track when he's not going to say otherwise.

Plus he took him off, could that not validate those that thought he was poor? Pep's actions and not his words?

You can have your opinion he was grand, no bother, just don't slap down other people's opinions though by using things like a press conference where he'll never say otherwise.

No! But he wouldn't say a player who was wank played great...
He criticises nobody in public and neither should he.
He team selections tell you more than his utterances to the media rabble.
And his selections over the last 6 matches tells you who he trusts and who is likely to be moved on in the close season.

He took off bench players and non starters to insert starters in attempt to chase a win?

Yep! Absolute proof the backups were terrible.

Not good enough. Offload at the end of the season. He was nowhere for their goal. Absolute defensive liability. Just watch him “running back” when Cherki loses possession. Hides his head in his shirt when the goal goes in. Knows himself it was a shocking effort to get back.

When did I say that? I only said i've no idea what some people are seeing to be slagging him off, somebody replied with the same back at me and so I pointed out peps views marries much closer to my view than theirs. Whats the problem with that? If somebody didnt think he was great, fine, i myself didn't actually say he was great, i said he had a decent game but calling his performance shit is just wrong.

He took him off in the 85th minute. It's a huge stretch to be suggesting that in any way was reflective of his performance. If he wasn't happy with his performance, he doesnt wait until the 85th minute to change it, especially when he made 4 subs before taking off Reijnders. That's just nonsense.

Speaking of actions, it wasnt just his words, he literally went over to reijnders and embraced him immediately after Nico smacks that ball in, was that not genuine too?

The concerning thing for me is that I don’t see any improvement from September. You’d think by now if he was going to get it, things would have started happening.
How do you expect to see improved without a player playing? You can’t sit on the bench and somehow be better then you were 2 months ago.. his first season I’ll judge him next season like I do all of pep signings

Offload after 1 season? lol

That's why I laugh when commentators and pundits bang on about our second string being so strong etc..

It's fucking not. We would end up bottom half if we had to field them all season.

I thought he was OK yesterday. Not great but offered a bit of a goal threat, and was far from our worst performer. Still hope that he’ll come good next season, and think it’s highly unlikely that we’ll look to offload him in the summer.
