Jumonville Glen near Uniontown in SW Pennsylvania. In 1754 it was the site of a skirmish between British Colonial troops under George Washington and a French contingent under Baron de Jumonville. There were fewer than 100 soldiers involved on both sides but it led to the French/Indian War, which turned into the Seven Years War. That in turn led to the American War of Independence and the French Revolution, plus the establishment of Great Britain as the dominant global power up to WWII.

Also in the same neck of the woods is Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece Fallingwater, and the Flight 93 Memorial, both of which I've been to.
