This deserves its own thread because it's an absolute disgrace and needs calling out properly.

It's become clear this morning that Supporters Club members were given the exact same booking window as those sitting on 20k+ loyalty points and members of the Cup Scheme. Let that sink in. Fans in some cases without season tickets, who have atttended a grand total of one game this season, the League Cup Final, were given their choice of ANY SEAT at the same time as supporters who have grafted for years, gone to every cup tie and shelled out god knows how much to get into this position. The £80 seats in the lower tier have all gone in the first window because of this, leaving those on 15 - 20k points to pay £125 if they want to be in the lower tier.

I respect the supporters clubs and I understand how great they have been for the clubs following and I understand that lots of SC members would qualify in their own right HOWEVER it is not right that a member not on the cup scheme, or even without a ST can jump the queue. I know for a fact that a lot of OSC members only apply for finals & big home games. Do they really deserve their pick of any ticket over someone on 19k points who's been to every cup home game for years? This is the first time this has happened I believe for a final, supporters club usually select a category and they get what they are given. That system was still not ideal, but felt slightly fairer.

What is the point of the Cup Scheme any more? The whole structure of how this club allocates tickets to its most loyal supporters has been completely undermined & while we're at it, the 1894 Group once again ringfenced the "cheaper" £80 seats at the front of the stand. For the group whose purpose is supposedly generating atmosphere. Every single person who has ever set foot in a football ground in their life knows full well that the atmosphere is built from the back of the stand, not pitchside.

& I'm not even going to get started on corporate allocations.

Brilliant work all round.

I'm fuming about this and so is every loyal match going supporter I've spoken to this morning. The club needs to explain itself.

Yeah it is a disgrace. For a cup final, the travel thing and the prebooking of it doesn't matter like it apparently does for away games. I've no idea why the club don't just say that everybody has to get their own ticket. It is 2026 and it couldn't be easier to log on and select a ticket.

Totally undermines the points system, platinum and the cup schemes to do it this way.

All the club have done is make lots of supports fuck off the cup schemes next year as what is the point.

We actually get the £175 tickets. I qualified at 10 however waiting till 1 to buy with mates but can already see that the amount of choice we have is low with all the best views already taken.

No issues with supporter clubs being given a slot to buy but given it stands to reason the bulk of them won't qualify in their own rights for a ticket in the first window that allocated slot should have come further down the buying windows.

Can someone please be clear on the rules here is it,
  1. Fans who are members of a supporters club can access tickets so long as the club provide evidence members reach the ciriteria i.e 10 members have season tickets on the scheme and therefore the club can have 10 tickets, whom they give them to is their choice
  2. Fans who are members of a supporters club can access tickets and there is no criteria applied at all on the tickets the club apply for and they can also allow anyone in their club to have them regardless of purchase history.

If its 1. then I don't really see an issue , if its 2. then its a disgrace and simply jobs for the boys as no doubt most clubs will just be run so the leadership and their mates can get easy access to tickets for big games.

This has been done to death on here
It actually hasn't, yes the point of them being given tickets for away games has but this is to do with how they've jumped the queue Infront of people on the cup scheme to choose the best seats making a mockery of the benefits of the cup scheme

It's 2.

Do you not think OSC's getting away tickets also constitutes them jumping the queue. Everything about it stinks, but it's a debate as old as time.

I agree, I am a supporters club member on the cup scheme and qualified in the 2nd window, Everyone who has applied through our branch has been allocated a ticket could do so from 10am, some are on the cup scheme but not all, what really annoys me is the ones who couldn't be bothered going to the semi final are the ones given priority over the fans that did.
I can’t understand how the club can get this so wrong.

All 44 people at my local supporters that applied for a ticket got one..
I must admit I was surprised ..
I didn't apply even tho I probably won't get a ticket with my points

Not a shock.

SCs do a great job but having been in one 20 years ago I remember when we got a load of people turning up to meetings ( never rocked up for others) looking for derby tickets.

You can only hope that the people getting the tickets have been checked by the branch to ensure they have enough points to justify them getting them.

And there lies the issue. It's made a mockery of the loyalty points system/cup scheme and a disgrace

Yep I agree however for a standard away game you're all stuck in the same area be it behind goals, down sides, lower or upper tier. Here you have loads of different options all over the west side of the ground to hoover up the best views before those who have bought into the FA cup scheme on the promise of 'priority' to find that the citizens matchday member with 100 points whose attending his first FA cup game of the season is sat in the seats he wanted.

That shouldn't be a hope it should be a steadfast rule regulated by the person who owns the points having their names on the ticket and only them be able to use it
