Premier League Games | 1/2/3/4 May '26

Posters asking why we didn’t score more against Burnley, like dirty Leeds did last night, but once again, we saw an example of a team being lees defensive than when they play City.

Burnley were far more open yesterday than they were on 22nd April.

Interestingly on the BBC they're talking about Leeds maybe being out of the relegation battle now and listing West Ham, Spurs and Forest fixtures. Absolutely no mention of Newcastle.

If Brighton beat Newcastle today and Spurs beat Villa tomorrow.... that's 9 points left with Spurs only behind by 5.

WWD = 7
WWL = 6
WDD = 5

Seems doable if Newcastle lose all their games. I am still praying for Spurs to go down though so cmon ye topless horsepunchers.

Really need West Ham to get fuckall at Brentford and Spurs to win.

They'll have to go all out against arsenal even more then.

That's....dumb.

West Ham need to go all out against everyone they play against.
They don't need the incentive of 'losing' to bolster them. If anything a defeat today would destroy their morale.

If they win today and Spurs lose that's a 5 point gap and that will be that.

Its fuckin paramount they are neck and neck and West Ham don't open a gap up.

This isnt rocket science.

And if they coast against Arsenal and lose, with Spurs winning, they'd be back in the thick of it.

If they win today AND beat Arsenal, they are safe. A 2 or 5 point gap with 6 to play for means they can still be relegated. An 8 point gap with 6 points to play for means they are safe, which they will acheive by beating Brentford today and THEN Arsenal.

You're right, it's not rocket science, it's simple mathematics.

We would all love for Spurs to go down but commercially for the PL it would not. E good , City vs Spurs quite a big game lots of eyes on screens, City vs Wrexham not so much

There's 18 other teams.
Spurs diced with relegation last season, learnt nothing from it, earned an unexpected financial bonus in the champions league and are now in the same position 12 months later.

Agreed. Fuck them. Big teams (at least in their own minds) have gone down, and the PL has managed to struggle along without them.

Fuck West Ham and Spurs. I have no qualms about whick one goes down. Spurs would.be funnier as it would be big headline stuff. Can you imagine AFTV is they won the league and Spurs go down? Fucking meltdown.

Anyway, fuck them both.
