Watched Derby v Sheffield United with the lad. While like most Derby fans don't want another season like the infamous 11 point misery of 07-08 he is not that disappointed about not making the playoffs when the club isn't ready. Still disappointing to lose especially from a winning position. That should not take away from a very good season of over achievement. The improvement from the great escape from relegation last season to fighting for a playoff spot under John Eustace has been immense and he and the players deserve great credit for that. Recruitment will be key for next season and re-signing good loan players like Brereton-Diaz, Szmodics, Bobby Clarke and Banel would be a good start.

More than held their own in their first season in the championship. Was rooting for them to get a last minute goal then.

Nothing for them to be down about and The Turf should be rocking after that season.

Hope we can spank Ipswich twice next season including on the last day at the Etihad and they finishing bottom with us winning the League...with "You're the weakest link, goodbye".

Has the Wrexham bubble burst, if so never mind.

Even if they had got in the play offs, they concede way too many goals to win the play offs in my opinion.

Was always going to take a few seasons before they truly challenged for PL promotion.

Fair play to Ipswich, but can't help but feel they are an absolute certainty to go back down next season.

Too much too soon. Another season or two in the championship and then push when their new Kop should be ready.

He’s done well, to be fair to him. Had to replace Hutchison and Delap and motivate the squad to go again.

He’s stopped Millwall going up, so it’s not all bad!
He's now got them promotion out of that division twice (I think), which is no mean feat. It's not an easy division to get out of; it took Coventry 25 years to get back to the cash cow that is the PL. And how many years have Norwich been out of the top flight now?

Not enough. :-)
