A disgraceful undermining of the Ticket Points system - again

Refer to ‘didsburyblu’ post further up the page. No one is complaining about the 20%, it is the priority that is the issue.
Correct. If a non-OSC group want to travel/sit together, and buy tickets based on each individual's points, they have to wait until the person with the lowest points qualifies. Either that or each buys when they qualify and hope they can all sit close together.

For games like this, OSCs should be subject to the same conditions, not have first dibs.

For all those moaning why supporters clubs get 20 % of all tickets ,should stop for one minute and think about all the hard work (unpaid ) that goes into running these branches mainly by blues just doing it for the love of other fellow blues in their area ?
Maybe a few people may cop for a ticket they don’t qualify in their own right ? but the vast majority, Go to fellow hardened match going blues and those that don’t are mainly blues or kids of blues who for whatever reason can no longer qualify by their own right ?

I say to the moaners , live in the OSC shoes for one minute ,organise and run coaches (often at a loss ) and remember they have been doing this for many ,many seasons , not just the milk and honey seasons we are experiencing now ?

Finally , if u still really don’t like it ? U could always join ur local branch !

Up the blues
No one has said that though. This is about fairness and people without the required points getting cup final tickets (often the cheapest) ahead of everyone else. Just because they are in a supporters club

While I agree on the broad strokes of this , what about those on the scheme that didn't bother with the semi ? I fully recognise the affordability issues but surely that applies to everyone.
If you ask 100 people how tickets should be allocated you will get 100 different answers .......

As Cheadle_hulmeBlue has posted, for the sake of repeating it again, nobody is moaning or has moaned about the people who run the branches, the branch secretaries, and the people who help the secretaries.

Our branch has a fantastic branch secretary. You honestly couldn’t meet a nicer person. He’s dedicated to his branch secretary job on top of his full-time job, which he probably has. The amount of hours, work, and effort he puts into running the branch is unreal. All the branch members appreciate that and appreciate him. We all like him as a person. Our branch has a FB page that is updated on a regular basis by him. Our branch secretary always replies to you if you WhattsApp him. The meetings every two weeks are run in a serious, but light hearted way, as we get through all the topics that needs to be discussed and sorted out. Apart from all of that our branch secretary is a normal City fan who does the away trips, has a laugh, has a drink, and supports the team, like we all do.

Hopefully I’ll get a free pint off him on Monday after this glowing post about him. ;-)

I absolutely see that point of what you're saying. My view has always been that people not on the Cup scheme, but who've bought tickets and attended early round games, should get priority even over those on the scheme who haven't been to earlier games.

The problem is that you can get very granular here and create other issues around priority. Maybe the answer is to drop the cup schemes altogether but give ST holders a window to buy their own seats for home cup games.

Regarding the semi-final. Because the full allocation wasn’t taken up, many City fans who wouldn’t normally got a Wembley semi-final ticket got one. I’m sure they appreciated that, and would have accepted they will not or may not get a final ticket.

We have people turning up every two weeks for the branch meetings who put their names forward for away tickets and never or hardly every get an away ticket, as demand always outstrips supply.

I have nearly 28,000 loyalty points, but I have missed out on a few away games this season with a small away end allocation, and I haven’t managed to get a ticket via the branch, due to limited tickets given to the branch by the club, branch members in-front of me with higher loyalty points, or no coaches being run due to a small and limited away ticket uptake by branch members for certain away games.

Fuck our loyalty point system. There's currently a party of about 100 united fans in full rag gear in our souvenir shop and taking photos infront of out statues.
What ever has happened to football?

People on the cup scheme already pay for the tickets (home game that is) regardless of whether they attend the games or not. Hence, they should be given priority as it currently stands.

OSC allocations are just one part of the shit systems City have/allowed to be in place.

Members should be buying off their own points with maybe a couple of freebies each branch to distribute.

There's other issues with tickets especially aways as well so it's not just them. It's almost criminal how few tickets make it to loyalty points holders.

I do know of a branch Sec that almost always has spares for games, those tickets should go back though the club and yeah although not from him there have been times when I've called a favour in but, 2 wrongs and all that.

And not 1 of thise answers would be that people in OSCs should be given priority above cup scheme members to log in early and get the cheapest tickets when they don't meet the criteria to do so, which is what has happened this time around .

Yes you are quite right. That's what normally happens with block requests and the Branch allocates dependent on loyalty. On this occasion we were allocated the FULL amount of tickets requested and applicants could choose from pretty much anywhere in the stadium. That's not a Branch issue IMO - the blame lies with City and the OSC. It's completely flawed.
My way of thinking is "OK, the branch got the full allocation, but only those who qualify to purchase a ticket can do so as of now."
Those who don't qualify to purchase a ticket as of now still have the ticket, but they cannot actually buy it until a set date, meaning they most likely will end up having to buy a more expensive ticket. And how the fuck can they complain about that!

The cup scheme has and always will be a load of bollocks, it’s the clubs way of getting full or near full houses for early rounds of the cups, and some won’t go even if it’s cost £30 a ticket, it’s a load of fucking crap, supporters clubs have always been prioritised at this club and fuck knows why

The next City Matters meeting with the club will be an interesting. Have the City Matters Reps released a statement yet?

Lifes not fair my friend ,in my experience ,the more u swim against the tide ,the harder it becomes!

On the whole the OSC do a fantastic job and should be applauded for all their hard unpaid work .

If u want to wait around and wait until the official channel says u can apply then u are probably going to miss out !

It’s all ways been ‘every man for himself ! Especially for the big games !’

I didn’t see or hear all this shit about tickets when we was playing Swansea away ?

It’s a football ground ! Not the Pentagon !
Those that ‘ really want to attend ‘ will always find a way ?

The list of ‘excuses ‘ I have read on here ,especially in the semi final thread for not going , is in the main ‘ embarrassing!’

Now we’re in final the ‘entitlement’ is equally hilarious

Carabao Cuo final.
FA Cup semi-final.
FA Cup Final.
Burnley away.
Everton away.
Bournemouth away.

People aren’t made of money, especially during the current economic situation where everyday cost of living prices for everything are spiralling out of control due the US & Iran war, amongst other factors.

I'll extend what you're saying to include those not on cup schemes but with more points are potentially being seen off as well.

I am a member of an OSC but I got my ticket on day 1 with my own points as I wanted to sit with F&F , I was surprised it allowed OSC members choose seats as previously they were allocated in blocks and were not the cheapest .
