The problem is they don’t seem to be fighting very hard if they are losing 3-0 at Brentford.

Arsenal will win their other two easily. The only hope is West Ham but they don’t look great to be honest. Arsenal couldn’t have hand picked a better run in than this.

We have a chance though and 3/4 weeks ago we didn’t so I’ll take that and see what happens.
How do you work out that West Ham don't look great?

They started the season very badly but for a club fighting to stay up have done pretty well since the turn of the year:

Wolves 3-0
QPR (FAC) 2-1
Spurs 2-1
Sunderland 3-1
Chelsea 2-3
Burnley 2-0 at Burnley, which is better than our 1-0
Rags 1-1
Bournemouth 0-0
Fulham 1-0
Brentford (FAC) 2-2
City 1-1
Leeds 2-2 (FAC lost on pens)
Wolves 4-0
Palace 0-0
Everton 2-1

I haven't included the defeats except for a respectable 2-3 at Chelsea and the FAC v Leeds on penalties, but for a team at the bottom that's not a bad string of results.

“Oooh very tough game is Everton away” parrot all the know nothing pundits blissfully unaware that we’ve won 8 or 9 on the bounce there and ignoring the fact that Everton seem to be on the beach already.

Notwithstanding the fact that all games in title run ins can be fraught affairs we couldn’t really have handpicked a better away game than this one. We’ll win it much more comfortably than we won at Burnley.
Totally agree. 3 defeats and a draw in their last 5 matches, obviously all against lesser teams than us and one of those matches where half the squad will have probably written off already given that they don't have a great deal to play for.

We've beaten Arsenal twice Chelsea by 3 goals away without conceding and 4 against Liverpool yet all everybody talks about is the Burnley match. It was 1-0, we won, it kept us in the race, get over it.

It's not a tough game, but it'd be exactly our luck to win all of those difficult games and then lose or draw to an average team with fuck all to play for.

Yes, but that's why it's daft to keep trying to predict results then stress over them. Nobody gave Bournemouth much of a chance at Arsenal. Nobody expected them to go out of the FAC to Southampton having just lost one final.

The way I look at it is we started the season as a team that is rebuilding so we were always going to be off the pace. Nobody had us down for a potential treble and many on here said the best we can hope for is a domestic trophy. We've achieved that and are still in with the chance of a treble, but if we fall short there's no disgrace in that.

Compare where we are with what Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and the rags have done and it puts it into perspective how difficult it is, yet we're still in it and will finish the season with more records and a lot of pride no matter what happens.

Soon, after I’ve navigated through the ‘I’ll just stand infront of you whilst reading every single ingredient on this packet’ crowd in Morrisons.
And those who insist on leaving their trolley at an angle so nobody can get past, then glare at you when you dare to push it out of the way. Nobody more ignorant than supermarket shoppers (don't get me started!)

More the fact that we have to play it 3 days after the cup final is my concern. 2 away games in 3 days, including a big occasion like Wembley, is very draining and not good for preparation. Should play the "second" team even if it is a cup final but the melts will be out in force of we do and we lose it.
The FA cup final team may well be dependent on our league situation.
It may be the primary aim at that stage or maybe not.

True, but I'm just basing it on my belief that we'll still be in contention at that point. No point bothering if you don't believe...

No , didnt even watch it , its in our hands.
Nope, it isn't - It isn't in theirs, either.

'in our hands' would be if we were in a position where nobody else could affect us being Champions, were we to win every game. Irrespective of GD.

That is not the current situation. It won't be in either team's hands unless the other drops points.

We almost definitely will.
We could well be at an advantage in the title race.
I said the FA cup team may will be dependent on our position in the league.

Gonna be getting into Lime Street about 17.00pm, any good pubs that may have a few blues in ?

If we win this one, I think we will go all the way.

Tough game. At least we are playing teams who won't be parking the bus.
Not lost to them since 2017. Unbeaten in 11 with the fewest goals conceded over that time period. Obviously, it’s football, but playing Everton isn’t a terrifying prospect!
