At least he seems to realise to score the best approach is not shooting straight at the keeper. Something the current team can rarely manage.

He really looks like he could be perfect. We're missing a player who'll make line splitting passes since KDB left, and Haaland has suffered. He does that.
We need someone who can look after the ball in tight spaces, and knit attack and midfield like Bernardo, he does that.
He can play a bunch of different positions so he can be eased in and fit in around everyone else.
And he's 6ft, fast and 20. And at a club that will sell for a sub <100m price.
I just hope (a) we get him and (b) he gets to work with Pep for a year.

And on top of that, from what I’ve seen, he doesn’t shirk the less glamorous side of the game - he’s tenacious, he presses, he doesn’t avoid duels. I feel like we’ve been signing too many players that are specialists at one or two things but everything else is lacking, but Maza is the guy that’s good at absolutely everything. I get that it’s weird to call a 20 year old an essential signing, but if we want to compete for the CL again we need more players like this. Actually we already missed out on him last summer
Leverkusen bought him from Hertha Berlin for 12m ( The same amount that City paid to buy Nypan )

Same with Marmoush, the local press will have the heads up before anyone else on these types of deals so I’m inclined to believe it.

We’ve had some whoppers on here over the years but we’ve now got posters arguing over which Algerian sources are best for North African player ITKness.
More likely Ait Nouri.Him and Cherki would have a good relationship being Algerian (or Cherki of descent).
Funny how Ait Nouri ( France) and Maza (Germany) both play for Algeria.
Not so long ago , they may have declared for the country of their birth.
