Ibrahim Maza

The assist for the 3rd goal, getting the ball in the middle from the keeper, turning running and then putting a through ball on a plate was very De Bruyne-y

We have to get this kid, it just makes too much sense on all levels.
He’s the all-phase monster we’ve been desperate for since Gundogan declined/left. Whoever gets him has a superstar.

He really looks like he could be perfect. We're missing a player who'll make line splitting passes since KDB left, and Haaland has suffered. He does that.

We need someone who can look after the ball in tight spaces, and knit attack and midfield like Bernardo, he does that.

He can play a bunch of different positions so he can be eased in and fit in around everyone else.

And he's 6ft, fast and 20. And at a club that will sell for a sub <100m price.

I just hope (a) we get him and (b) he gets to work with Pep for a year.

And on top of that, from what I’ve seen, he doesn’t shirk the less glamorous side of the game - he’s tenacious, he presses, he doesn’t avoid duels. I feel like we’ve been signing too many players that are specialists at one or two things but everything else is lacking, but Maza is the guy that’s good at absolutely everything. I get that it’s weird to call a 20 year old an essential signing, but if we want to compete for the CL again we need more players like this. Out of all the names we’ve been linked with, he’s the only essential one. And I include Anderson in that.

Him and Cherki would have a good relationship being Algerian (or Cherki of descent).

I can see them doing 80m euros or 70m pounds. He is worth it.

The type of signing who'd rock up at PSG and you'd be like, "Yep, we missed out on this kid".

Actually we already missed out on him last summer

Leverkusen bought him from Hertha Berlin for 12m ( The same amount that City paid to buy Nypan )

Africa Foot: Bayer Leverkusen rejected an initial €50 million offer from Man City to sign Ibrahim Maza.

Algerian source.
That's nonsense, the Algerian press, apart from DZ Foot, is completely unreliable.

and no proposal, no negotiation is possible at this time of year.

Will be €75m minimum imo mate, they know what they have.
He was recruited for £10 million, after only one season at Leverkusen, I think his price will be between £45 and £50 million (60 million euros maximum).

Looks some player this lad. Watched the last game and he’s technically sound, would be a shrewd buy and we can mould him into a Bernie later on. Can play on the wings even and can also play deeper.

Football world is still out of control though mate? Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea , PSG and a few others looking at him as well?

I find Africa Foot is good especially for North African player news. They have broke news in the past before any other news outlets.

Same with Marmoush, the local press will have the heads up before anyone else on these types of deals so I’m inclined to believe it.

More likely Ait Nouri.
Funny how Ait Nouri ( France) and Maza (Germany) both play for Algeria.
Not so long ago , they may have declared for the country of their birth.

Or much more
