The actual rule (from International Football Association Board Laws of the Game):

Normally: If a player receives treatment on the pitch they must leave the field before play restarts

BUT there are exceptions, and this is one of them:
  • If the injury is caused by a foul where:
  • the opponent is booked or sent off and the injured player needs treatment
The injured player can stay on the pitch and does NOT have to go off for 30 seconds

Decent first half. Started well but lost our way a little bit for 10 mins around the 25 min mark when we were trying to force things a bit too much but regained control after that and got the goal we deserved, and what a lovely goal it was.

Probably could have had at least one more but Semenyo and Cherki haven't had their shooting boots on thus far. Talking of boots, we had quite a lot of slipping in that half.

Keep at it 2nd half, be patient, don't take unnecessary risks and we should win this.

Vinny on Nani against the Rags when he actually won the ball, and Rug Head went whining to the ref.
tbh vinny didnt touch him but he went in 2 footed studs up if i recall: at the time it was soft, now its definitely red.

there was one United got a while ago at home - Romero on Casemeiro. I thought it wasnt really that hard at a force but because Romero slammed into his shin Oliver it was gave red that time

Reminds of the 5-0 against Liverpool when Mane took Eddie's head off and he was booed off the pitch.

Doku is going to be public enemy number one for almost having his ankle broken

The fact Doku had to go off after almost having his leg broken, leaving us down to 10 men on our free kick, is a disgrace of a rule

How can we be given a free kick there, but be disadvantaged by losing our attacker?

They then start a counter attack whilst hes still not allowed on the pitch, Knicks the ball, and then nearly leads to him being wiped out again because the fans started getting upset so their players took a swipe at him
100% agree with this, it's one of the dumbest aspects of the laws. 'Oh you need treatment after a foul, well fuck your team'

If we get few goals up. One of ours should take a red and do that ****
