Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Poor disappointing performance.
But if we are being honest, we have not played like a league winning team all season. Miles away from the levels of previous successful seasons.
Let's just hope our recruitment team stops fucking around this summer and start signing top level players again, who actually makes us better right away. We dont need talents who only show up every other game, we need elite first XI players who deliver night after night.
Spot on !

Garbage. We were the better team overall, a few mad moments, weird offside rule where you're offside then you're not, and the second was a foul on Khus in my opinion.
Fuck me, been on the pop tonight have you because no sane, sober person would watch that game and think City deserved to win it.

Where the fuck was that energy and fight for the previous 90 minutes?

I still think the title is done and all this paranoid waffle about referees, it might make some of you feel better but the truth is tonight’s performance was a shambles and we were lucky to get a point let alone deserve anything more.
Do you think if Kush makes the tackle Keane did he gets sent off? This was a game changer not paranoia

The only reason we’re still in a title race is because of Pep’s genius and Arsenal’s tendency to bottle it.

We’ve failed to beat Spurs, Brighton, Everton, West Ham and Forest despite taking a lead and that’s what will cost us in the end.
Spurs x 2, West Ham and Forest given how fucking low they are in the league are the ones. 3 points out of 12. Shite.

I've been wondering why Gonzalez hasn't played more in the last few months - tonight showed it. Absolutely miles off it and I thought a genuinely terrible performance from him - and I've rated him before now

Maybe there's a twist or two yet. We'll see.
I wanted him to play but he was awful.
Just offered nothing at all

Besides Doku piss poor all round.

Passing was awful, no desire to get a goal when 1 up.

And whomever is in charge of players boots needs sacking, so many games where the players are slipping all over the place.

Without Rodri we're awful. Need Anderson in the summer.

God knows how that finished 3-3. Tell you what though that was a great effort to get a point. Still in it

The red card decision turned the game tho. I do t know what the fuck the offside rule is anymore but how can you gain an advantage by being 2 yards offside? I think Marc might have thought it was given? On first glance I’m not sure it was a corner for their second either

We had a mad spell where our heads went but credit to the lads for dragging a point out of it. Sunderland vibes

You can't concede 3 in one half to bunch Evilton cloggers and expect to win a title
Wtf was that? We've never looked remotely like doing that the last couple of months
It's done now I'm afraid, no Rodri we go to pieces

Bad refereeing in terms of both decisions and getting in the way of our players but we really threw that away with defensive mistakes.
If Rodri had been available I think we would have won that. Maybe we needed an older head like Stones starting to give some calm and experience.
I cannot see Arsenal letting this slip but I thought the same about the dippers in 2014.

The title probably isn't meant to be despite the draw.

Let's be honest, over the season overall we haven't looked anything like being champions. We've been in great form recently but we've been less consistent in our performance level than Arsenal in my view.

I actually think we've done well for a team in transition to be so close to the title at this stage of the season and if we can build again in the summer, I see us as being strong favourites next year.

Of course, a League Cup and potential FA Cup isn't to be snuffed at either. 2nd and 2 cups is a good season in my view.
Agreed.

There was a point in the season, where I thought we are looking at a few years before we will compete, but despite some old habits, I do think we’re moving in the right direction.

We are privileged to have seen a few title winning teams over recent times, and this really doesn’t look like one.

I’m gutted about tonight, but not suprised.

Poor result in the grand scheme of things despite the comeback.need favours from west ham and burnley ahahhaahah yeah league has gone sadly

Sorry, late dramatic equaliser or not, that is a disappointing result. The problems since Rodri’s injury are still there, we lack the ability to control and breakdown low blocks. It’s is either slow and not hurting the opposition or chaos, tonight had both of them.

I do think we should have won tonight, the mistake killed our fragile lead but with the Balon D’Or winner in the midfield we wouldn’t have conceded the other 2 and have won 2-1.

Shame we didn’t have another 10 Jeremy Doku’s.
13 minutes of madness all self inflicted.
