Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It was offside
It was our own fault is that ok
Very unprofessional from Guehi there, his pass back was crap and he didn't look who was around him, he should have banged it out for a throw in .... and it was that goal that put us on the backfoot, and gave Everton belief.

He was making mistakes all the way through.

If that refereeing was against moyse team he would be moaning like fuck at the refereeing decision and calling out that offside rule with faze 1 faze 2 bollocks!

Only Doku played well of our attacking players

Haaland, Semenyo and Cherki were shit

Gonzalez also shit

It never really felt like a title winning City team for me this season tbh. Too many holes in it and stupid points dropped.
We’re in a rebuilding season still. We’ll be primed to win it next year of Pep stays.

Not sure I watched the same game as some of the other posters

Nico G - horrific
Guehi - Stinker
Semenyo - poor

Whole team - casual as hell in 2nd half until we were 3-1 down

Title probably gone - but truth is neither Arsenal or ourselves would be vintage PL champions.
They play boring robotic football + we lack consistency + real fighters in team when it counts

I do t think anyone is comfortable but fact is quite a few of them have never won the league. At 3-1 they could have folded but didn’t. Shouldn’t have come to that but it did and we responded
No but they did fold at 1-1 when they had 25 mins left! They need to wise up or some of them will never win a league. We needed someone to stick the boot in on them tonight but we don’t have anyone anymore.

Doesn't impact? Doesn't run towards the ball then?
Read the law yourself.

I agree with the pundits - for once.

They put a massive screen up with about 4 points of the law involving that incident. Everton player didn't "break" one of them.

Its all on Guehi

Ok, well, I won't slag Guehi too much but it does have to be said - what were you thinking bro? The only thing that tempered my anger at him was that - it didn't look like we were scoring any more than one goal tonight. Which makes for a win but really does nothing for us in goal scored/differentials. The other thing is the fight back. Where was this urgency for the 35 previous minutes of the first half? It proves once again that possession based offenses can be reduced to nothing if you can't do anything with the possession. In other things:

Doku was great tonight. Two goals.
Foden - his shot. Two years ago - that shot goes in.
Rodri - we missed him. He's a must play. I don't think Nico G did bad but - there's no player like Rodri.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the last goal to tie the game will figure heavily. There's a reason for everything. Its karma or juju or star signs. West Ham MUST win. They will win. Doku's goal will carry us to the title.

Love the positivity , much needed at the moment
Too be honest at beginning of season I didn’t think we would win anything with all the changes so more than pleased that we have good chance of taking both cups and be the arse Arun for their money

We are not quite there yet and still very much a work-in-progress. Yet we have won the League Cup and are also in the FA Cup final. It was always going to be unlikely that we’d remain unbeaten for the remainder of the season and I personally felt, for us to win the league, Arsenal would need to drop points too. They still might and Jeremy’s last minute effort means they will continue to play with a level stress. They have a massive week next week and could become legendary chokers. Let’s keep the faith.
