Will we win the league this season? No

They are far better than Arsenal in attack, but both are worse in defence. It will be a more even game than some may think.
Agree on attack v. defense. Respectfully disagree though on which side(s) is more likely to win in a one-off... but in a one off, anything might happen. And hell, even if a side wins the C/L... are they the best side in the world... or did they get lucky... e.g, how the fuck did 2012 Chelsea win the C/L?

Chelsea finished 6th in 2012. And 4th in 2021.

A PL/CL double is another level. Only 3 English teams have won a PL/CL double in the last 30 years or so.

The average points total of the PL runners-up is 80,5 pts. It's normal to win the league with 83-85 pts.
Even lower then. I asked AI.

I honestly think we will see another unbeaten season before we see 100 points again in the PL if it retains its popularity and the money is distributed as it is now.

I think they will win both, unfortunately. They seem to be over their blip, confidence seems to be high amongst them now.

PSG and Bayern are both brilliant, but just have a feeling Arsenal will shithouse a win.
Yeah but you also thought they would win the quadruple at one stage

Bayern and PSG are far better than Arsenal. Anything can happen in a one-off match, but for my money, Arsenal isn't going to win the C/L.
Are they really?
PSG and Bayern are more exciting but I'm not sure if they are any better.
Outside of ourselves, they are way ahead of the other PL teams, unbeaten in the CL including 4 games already against Athletico and Bayern.
I don't like the way they play but they have found a winning formula.
They can rough house it and score goals from corners and free kicks.
They are also fortunate, not in topping the CL group, but the ensuing draw that included avoiding Barcelona who had 2 brainless sending offs against Athletico.

The only good thing to come out of this if they win the league will be to watch the wheels come off for them next season.
Their players will think they are better than they are & act like primadonnas
some will want bigger wages or move to better teams . Those cocky Gunners fans will be on Artetas back in no time .
Sit back & watch them implode .
We will be a better team next season ,some better players will come in ,some will go.

I seem to be liking all your posts at the moment as I know you are right but giving Arsenal any sort of credit on here will only be accepted by a handful of posters. The most you can hope for is that “they are the best of a bad bunch”The truth is talked about elsewhere understandably.

Their football is not pleasant to watch subjectively and it’s a team I would love to see fail but objectively, when it comes to underlying stats, they are exceptionally good at what they do. Pointing that out isn’t fun though. We all want to be waving bottles at them…me included.

Let's give them credit if/when they win something. And not a second before.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Villarreal, Seville and Leicester have all won more than Arsenal have in the last five years, all of whom competed alongside Arsenal in the competitions they won.

That’s up to you. You give credit when trophies arrive and that’s understandable but sometimes really good teams miss out as I hope they do this season too. It won’t alter my opinion that they are really good at what they do whether they have a trophy or not.

Yes, no issue with that. Al Capone was really good at what he did, I suppose.

Arsenal are over their fear of failure.
Think that it happened for them at The Etihad.
They should've pissed the league tbh & they nearly stopped themselves from doing so....but fair play coming through it I guess.

I don't like their style of play, but they got the job done last night and I think back to our game at the Bernabeu where we crumbled and how we could have done with some of that diving and theatrics. It's not what you want to see, but I watched Real go and spend most of extra time doing it once they were ahead.

I don't think they'll have a problem beating Bayern and I think their game against PSG will depend on how well they can cope with their midfield, who on paper would run rings around them.

Ideally they win nothing. If not I still long for a West Ham win this weekend so the CL remains their best option. But I think they'll get the job done from here, and I'm not certain we'll be able to keep our side of the deal anyway. That spell against Everton was one I was hoping we'd seen the back of, but we've got tougher tests to come and it doesn't give me the confidence I had prior to that game.

I see no reason we should all have to agree with you, mate.

I think they are awful to watch. “Good side” to me means “plays football I want to see”. That is just my definition, I’m afraid. You are never going to get me to agree with you because of their style of play and all the play acting and whining, but most of all the hypocrisy of the fuckers. Give it out a treat and whine like little girls when they get some back. At least dirty leeds could take it.
There’s no taking from them the fact that they are unbeaten in the champions league and have faced many top teams.we have over achieved and though I wish we could have emulated earlier City teams of finishing fixtures unbeaten to win the league, we have done brilliantly to be close at the end. Another cup would mean a great season with a team in transition.I think Arsenal will take confidence from their C L performances and will win both….unfortunately.Hope not.
