2nd half suckerpunch incoming.

One of those games where the other team is really organised, defending deep and you're kind of relying on a mistake, bit of magic or a break of the ball.
The annoying thing though is that Brentford aren't even organised. We've had 2-3 massive chances and missed them all through nothing but poor finishing.

That's the way I see it. I'm not sure what everyone's moaning about. I mean some goals would be nice but we're not playing badly.
Exactly. Had a horrid 5 minutes or so when we couldn't control it, but we have had chances from both wings. Concern I have is thay Brentford will adapt and I don’t think the lads on the pitch can problem solve

Cherki’s positioning was really poor. He kept dropping too deep and coming too close to the ball, so all he could do was play simple passes back. He should stay higher around the box and look for open channels to receive passes instead of closing the space himself by turning away from goal. That just made it easy for the opposition to stand tight behind him and shut him down every time.
Yeah he’s been bollocks today

Too many players playing safe
Cherki, reijnders taking way too long!!!!
No point keeping the ball when you let the whole Brentford team get behind the ball

It definitely was, same as them marmoush signing. It’s worrying.
Marmoush was even worse, in that, he’d had a 6 months spell playing as a second striker, behind that was a largely unremarkable career as a wide player.

I think the club look for a mid season boost, and Marmoush did help us get over the line for the CL, but the next season your left with players you can’t really utilise.

Haaland as a CF is in the middle waiting for the low cross it’s cherki steenbok or reinders job to attack the penalty spot what’s Haaland to do play CM and attack it if get doku to mix his crosses up look at sane sterling for example
I think Doku's doing his best to do that but there's 3 players round him most of the time, he needs some help. He can't win it for us on his own.

I think we''ve played well this half after a sloppy 5 or 6 mins when we kept giving the ball away. Had quite a lot of shots and created some good chances. Really should be a goal or two up.

We have been trying more long shots but we do have to pick them a bit more carefully. Too many times the ball was blasted into a defender who was only a foot or two away.

Keep it up 2nd half, get our shooting boots on, protect against their pace on the break and we should win this.

If he truly feels that way, then good on him.
He is half the player out there, without having the ability to cut inside.
Or at Bournemouth. he was not met with teams sitting in and having full backs doubling up on him.

He lacks a burst of pace or skill to get himself a yard. He is a limited football player and when the game is so condensed due to city dominating possession his strengths can’t be utilised.

The smiling dutchman has to be hooked. Masquerading as a City player.
You're watching a different game. I'm sceptical about Reijnders and didn't fancy him today but he's playing deep, winning the ball, and driving us up the pitch. It's Haaland and Cherki who are under their usual levels right now and are making this good performance seem worse than it is.
