4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Fucking awful this turd. I don’t know where the idea that ‘there’s a player in there’ or ‘he’s clearly talented’ has come from. Must have been watching him at Milan, because there has been zero evidence of that in a City shirt. Get rid and do it sharpish.
He played well at Milan and was in the league’s team of the season. The problem it’s a very weak league. He has skill but zero physical presence and seems lost a lot of the time. Don’t see a future for him at City but hope I’m proved wrong.

Looks a good player , but he isnt , someone on here posted he was Man of the Match in August against Wolves , one good game in eight months is not £60m well spent.
Get rid.

Just no influence with tempo or build up play. Got a goal in him, but feels like we bought someone who can do nothing but box crash.

When you go to a team thinking your the business then in training he sees he isn’t then he plays the games and realises god this is different level! He knuckles down works hard and still doesn’t make a mark! That face when he was subbed tells me now at his age 28 that he knows he ain’t good enough to start for us and be lucky to come of the bench! See him going out on loan to an Italian side next season

Extremely worrying when Foden comes in as an 8 for Reijnders, when Pep has repeatedly said he doesnt like Foden deep, and Foden immediately shows how much better he is in the role.

Foden was dancing in the box, dropping deep and spraying long diagonal passes.

Reijnders is better suited to partnering Haaland tbh.

Actually thought he was OK. Was trying to make things happen and make a few tackles and interceptions too.

But our performance level went up when he went off.

I'm not saying Reijnders is shit, but Marmoush and Haaland have way better chemistry up front together.

It shows again today with them assisting each other. Think they've combined close to a dozen times already.
I would prefer a natural striker like Marmoush or Semenyo to partner Haaland as well.

But that's Reijnders best position unfortunately, he cannot play as an 8.

The evidence is overwhelming.

I don't go in for slating players.
Reijnders just isn't suited to the PL, and it seems to have got in his head.
Sorry skillman but today he spent more time hiding than trying to make things happen.
I think he's a decent player - but in a different, less physical, league

Let's hope he's one of these players that takes a season to get settled in a new country and league because at the minute he's about 6th choice midfielder and 6th choice attacker.
