Will we win the league this season? No

I agree with those that say it's over now, I don't see Arsenal not winning the last 2 but we have a responsibility to keep them honest until the last day and put them in a position where a draw is not good enough. That starts with a 3 or 4 goal win against Palace on Wednesday.

Hopefully they go into the last 2 games with huge pressure on the themselves and on the referee, given the 'luck' they've had this season. Still no red card, still no penalty conceded in the league. Both should have been broken in the last 2 weeks, let alone the season. They still have only scored more than twice, once in the last 15 games, so they will feel the pressure.

We don't just give up though, we put in place building blocks for next season. 2 cups and an 83 point season are good building blocks.

I get those that say we aren't good enough, dropped too many points and that's fair but it's still taken some extraordinary decisions to take the title away from us. I know it happens to both teams but the difference this season could essentially have us 5 points clear, not 5 points behind. Not bad going in an off season.

We must beat Palace though, Arsenal don't deserve a trophy lift in front of 60,000 of their own fans. Let it be a small occasion in front of 2,000 away fans. We guarantee that with a win on Wednesday. Who knows, Palace fans might be up for the last game of the season, wanting to ruin the day before a trip to Germany.
Really good post that! Nice caveat would be to make them sweat on the final day to 2K fans i nstead of a home crowd. There's still a smidge of hope for us. Getting 9 points in our last 3 games would be an amazing achievement considering the pressure.

Probably one behind in the GD will do us.
Seems right. If the Pricks were involved in a high scoring draw, they may do us on goals scored. But most likely if we are a goal down any win against Villa would be enough. If per chance GD and GS are level, happy days, we win on head-to-head. Realistically it's all done. If we are still in with a chance they won't be allowed lose that last game, no way. We should be primarily focussed mainly on Saturday now which is a much more realistic proposition.

If the West Ham goal had stood do you think we'd have won it?

We'll never know now, as we'll not be going flat out for goals as much as we would have been had the goal been allowed.

Yes, I do. I think we win on Wednesday and the pressure is on them. We beat Chelsea to win the cup and suddenly even more pressure is on them with us in with a chance of a clean sweep. Their bottle will go, we will win our last two games and they will fuck up v Palace.

That’s my belief.
God man Langley. But as I have stated we really need to have a closer eye on Saturday now. So maybe resting 2 or 3 who would certainly have started if that goal was not chalked off might make sense.

If it goes to the last game of the season then you just never know. There has been two occasions when we almost blew it.

I might be grabbing at straws here, but Burnley drawing 2-2 with Villa yesterday has given me a glimmer of hope. Now they're relegated they can play with freedom - nothing to lose, go on the attack, and might just get a result!

And Palace have taken points of teams we were in the title race against in the past (twice against Liverpool, wasn't it?) - if it does come down to the last game of the season, and Arsenal are still top of the league going into that game, ALL the pressure will be on them. They could just bottle it one last time!

It ain't over yet!

Yh keep them honest no free rides no doubt they are feeling the pressure and that will only increase if we can take it to the last day and get our noses in front early.

Don´t think we will anymore ,but anything can still happen ,football can have some freak results. Just need to keep winning and keep a bit of pressure til the end.

I don't understand why people are throwing the towel in, it's not over !, we still have everything to play for, we need to get behind the team and see this through to the end, Come on Blues keep the Faith.
Agreed no way should we be throwing the towel in. We are potentially only 2 points and maybe a better GD behind them going into that final game.

Could you imagine the pressure they would be feeling before that Paiace game

And then imagine that x10 if we then snag an early goal against a hungover Aston Villa

I really do still think there is at least one big twist in this and I did ever since that late Doku equaliser against Everton

The question should be will we be allowed to win the league this year and judging by a lot of decisions this season the answer is no. When we were at the top of our game we overcame them, this season we aren't so they've had the desired effect, another name on the trophy.

If we beat Palace it takes it to the Bournemouth game at least but deep down i think every Blue knows it's over. West Ham was realistically the last fixture they might drop points and they scraped a win. If we beat Palace and by some miracle they lose to Burnley obviously hopes will rise but id say it's 99% that doesn't happen. Even then we have Bournemouth away then Villa at home.
