45 | Abdukodir Khusanov - 2025/26

What's new...

We're were in serious good form with plenty of clean sheets in the process with Rodri in the team, as soon as he's missing we've Burnley creating chances against us along with Everton putting 3 last us.

Once Rodri is missing its a free for all for the opposition to get at our back four. The lack of protection in the middle of the park without Rodri is scandalous. Let's call a spade a spade, Nico Gonzalez is fucking awful, we've made huge errors in the transfer market in that position with Phillips and Gonzalez.

The back four and midfield were so disjointed tonight.

Completely agree. If you're a CB under pressure you need your midfield to help you out. You need someone to step up, offer an outlet for you and release the pressure. Khusanov was largely composed on the ball, but he got absolutely no help. Bernardo tried to get on the ball a couple of times but ended up giving it away and putting us back under pressure. Nico did absolutely nothing. Rodri would have dropped in and offered an outlet, turned on the ball and got us moving forwards. Everton would have reacted and sat off us again and the pressure would have been dealt with.

We all felt like we'd turned a corner after impressive wins over Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. But the former two are shocking and I'm not sure now if we're really over those issues. It's a big concern we're still so reliant on Rodri. Anderson would be a perfect signing to help in that regard.

He was definitely fouled by Ndiaye in the lead up to the corner wasn't he? Or am I just being super biased. Not his best game overall but probably still the best of the back 4.

that Wanker Jim beglin on my commentary said he went down after a few seconds and was acting!!
I had the feeling he continued to play while still hampered after the blow he received.

His absence today confirms this.

Bravo to him for playing with an injury against Brentford. It was barely noticeable during the game, but it had some impact.

Interesting that he seemed to be given the 'playmaking' responsibility in the defence for much of last night. Looks so much more comfortable what when Dias does it

He just oozes class - love watching this guy. And you can just see him improving game by game - although he still needs to work on his shooting.

Bot sure if it's been said already but seeing him trackback and have pace to burn but also go forward with confidence and ball carrying ability I think he could make a fantastic box to box midfielder
