3 | Ruben Dias - 2025/26

He's 28 and should be entering his prime for a CB surely???
You make it sound like he's feckin 38 and on the verge of the knackers yard.
Needs to get back to concentrating on his football - that's the main concern imho
Surprised at that , he has definitely lost a yard of pace , with Khusanov's rise to prominence , he will not be a starter next season , but will be important as a squad player

We've just played the best run of three matches in well over 18 months, against three top teams. No coincidence that it's happened with a settled side.

No player has a divine right to be in the team and it would be crazy to bring Ruben in - to any match - from here on in.

No 'gimme's left, this season.

Seems to have an unfortunate look of hitting the John Stones level of injuries as he is starting to get older?

Were managing very nicely without him. Guehi and Khusanov are doing just fine. you just know if fit Pep would shoehorn him back into the side. That would be wrong in my opinion.
That isn't necceserly true though is it. Pep does this every season where he sees what is the right team in the fist half of the season and then settles on his best side for the run in. He has done this every season barring injury.

Stood on the touch line with Gvardiol, not sure how close either to playing again

I saw a tweet this week saying Croatian media think Gvardiol could make the last 2/3 games of the season and then play in the World Cup.

I think Dias has been getting a lot of shit lately, so this visual and comment by the Athletic from this weekend was interesting. I understand that not all fast breaks are a result of CB play and the numbers are very small..but there were some good things happening in defense even when Dias was playing!

Miles better with him in the team despite the protestations of the idiots on here.

His return can't come quickly enough.

No chance. Let’s not rewrite history just because of one game. He’s been poor for years and the Khusanov/Guehi partnership has seen us win game after game and drag us back into the title frame.

Bollocks. "Poor for years" is a stupid exaggeration.

Our record with Dias and Gvardiol at CB has been excellent ever since Pep has paired them at CB.

“Bollocks” - relax, pal. It’s an opinion.

He always has these niggles that keep him out for weeks/months and when he does play, he gets caught out time after time while getting beat in the air time and time again too.

His leadership is great, yes. But other than that I don’t think he offers much. Aside from high fives. A shadow of the player we saw in his debut season.

Your opinion isn’t based on data. Sorry but it's silly.
