Chelsea (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

Khusanov had a bad 10 minutes on his debut and has blossomed into one of the top defenders in europe. Wayne rooney scored a worldie on his debut and ended up shagging grannies and looking like a temu capt birdseye. Its not how you start its how you finish.
That last line........ have you been talking to Mrs Mist ?

Tough game in the end but we got it done. We started it so much on top i thought we would stroll it but like a lot of games if you don't score in that period the opposition come back into it snd so it proved. A real slog but we won which is all that matters. Shout out to the ref Darren England. In spite of our fears i thought he had a great game. Drained now in the Wembley central Travelodge. Just had a bite to eat so might pop out to JJ Moons snd see if it's died down a bit. Was a huge queue around 6.15.

Chelsea have now been in five domestic finals since 2021 and haven't scored a single goal in regulation time.
Their record in domestic finals in the past decade is pretty wretched.

7 FA Cup finals, 1 win.
3 EFL Cup finals, 3 defeats

10 domestic cup finals, 9 defeats. Maybe there's a second london club worthy of the "bottlers" title.

The narrative across all the media is it was the dullest FA Cup of all time, followed closely by Chelsea robbed of a penalty! And they say we're bitter....
Takes 2 teams to make a decent football match. If one of them sets up just to defend and are well drilled then what's the other team supposed to do? Maybe if they'd have tried to stay on their feet a bit more then they might've actually created some chances.

Great win

Only one team tried to play football...chelsea had twenty mins where they hustled a little but their plan was to get into the box and throw themselves to the floor and make other ludicrous claims for penalties.

Our performance looked understandibly tired and occasionally sloppy and not as decisive and quick as we know we can be but we were clearly the superior team despite that .

Great goal from Semenyo -up until that I thought he had had quite a poor game.

Rodri clearly not fully fit and that was born out by what was obviously a planned change....kova gave us more legs in there and it stopped those through balls down the centre of our midfield.

Great assist from Haaland.

Cherki should have started as I thought Marmoush wasnt in the game - again a strange decision by Pep in a final but it worked out well innthe end

Doku very very good
NOR excellent
GUehi and Khusonov both solid and calm

The best bit however is Bernardo getting to lift another trophy! Great way to go out....now we just need a miracle for it to be perfect!
Can't argue with any of that. I would add Nunes to the conversation though. Thought he was excellent - on the whole.

Exactly 100%

When Khus hang up his boots he will have a land over 100 miles in span and be ruling it with an iron fist, Rooney now has to give the BBC every single thought he has every single moment every single day just to cover his tab at the oap home retirement community...
