Heart of Midlothian FC Thread

I believe David Dickinson is a Rangers supporter. This is probably why he’s rarely given our games

Outwith him I’m not sure there are any of the more high profile that you’d say were pro Rangers and probably why Rangers have consistently been the most wronged team by VAR decisions

I’d also like to take this opportunity to point out after a quick google check that Kilmarnock have benefited more than any other club since VAR was introduced. To think Ayrshire Blue was having a go at others…..Those pesky facts again

Link, please.

Really rooting for Hearts today, no political reason. I admire them for the season they have had and a chance for them and their fans to experience CL next season, which I assume they will have to pre qualify for?
Yip,won’t be watching but hope Hearts can stick it up the old firm, more so after the corrupt farcical decision on Wednesday night to help Celtic..

You had 5 errors in your favour and none against

As you said earlier it’s just a panels opinion and they are not infallible. Just this week they backed Walsh’s two decisions in OF game. Letter of the law both are errors but I’d have been annoyed if Rangers had scored that first goal and it was disallowed. You’ll always have disagreements over subjective decisions

The winners of the league qualify through the ‘Champions route’ which gives them a fighting chance

Runners up go into the open draw which for Scottish clubs is extremely difficult

Braga on the bench

Obviously Hearts are corrupt and have fixed it for Celtic just because

I really don't trust any of those "var error" tables, because they're all based on the refs marking their own homework.

I know there's a good few mistakes City have had against us that they've not announced as having been mistakes, or even that the panel reviewed them afterwards.

The handball decision was a shocker but the one that wasn't given to Hearts v Motherwell a few days earlier was even worse. A real shame for Scottish football that the season will be overshadowed by these decisions.
There was also a decent shout for a Motherwell penalty against Celtic that has been totally overlooked due to the bizarre handball call

CLUB STATEMENT: EVENTS AT CELTIC PARK

16 May 2026
Heart of Midlothian utterly condemns the shameful scenes at Celtic Park this afternoon which have, once again, embarrassed Scottish football.

Reports of serious physical and verbal abuse towards our players and staff, both on the pitch and elsewhere, are deeply disturbing. We are investigating this fully and are in dialogue with Police Scotland. We will make no further comment at this time other than to say that it is completely unacceptable that our players and staff were put in that situation.

Given the menacing and threatening atmosphere inside the stadium, our entire staff had no alternative but to leave immediately, without undertaking post-match media duties. To our media partners, we apologise but the safety of our staff was our prime focus during these unacceptable scenes.

The pitch invasion caused a chaotic end and nobody seemed to know whether or not the match had been brought to a finish.

Our players were then denied the opportunity to thank our magnificent fans – sensational to a person – for their backing this afternoon and all season long.

We expect the strongest action possible to be taken by the footballing authorities in the interests of protecting the safety of players and supporters, and the integrity of our game.

This season has seen Hearts capture the imagination of football fans, not only in Scotland, but the world over. We pay tribute to Derek McInnes, his staff, the first team and the supporters, who have done the club proud this season. None of them deserved the disgraceful scenes that unfolded.

Did the ref blow his whistle?

The ref has come out and said he did. Obviously SPFL no they could be facing an appeal from Hearts.

They are rioting at the Trongate / Merchant City right now with several police injured. The nights early and it’ll only get worse

There's footage of Shankland laying his hands on supporters and then also refusing to leave the pitch when escorted. Poor form from the Hearts captain, tut tut

Laying hands on cunts who shouldn't be there!

Whatever your allegiances, it was wrong to invade the pitch before the game had ended!
