Pep to leave at the end of the season

I honestly think if pep was leaving he would have said by now!! Everytime he's asked he says he will be here next season as he has a contract!! He's gonna look pretty silly if he does leave and pep does not like being made to look silly.

He’s really not. He saw the impact Klopp announcing it had on liverpools players in Klopps last season and how they faded after it. Until the title is mathematically over he was never going to want the club to announce it.

Club have never made mistakes with appointments have they?

I dont care about names , I dont think Maresca is good enough for City, its an opinion get over it.
It’s your opinion that’s okay, you said most, like you speak for some kind of majority view. They've made a few mistakes but not may and far less than any other club since the takeover.

If you are right, can’t see Maresca waiting around for another season. There seems to be so many people adamant the next manager will be Maresca. Make it make sense :)
Maresca has already said why. Seasons across Europe are coming to an end, anfter that there will be offers. He is ready, and ready to go anywhere.

He has recently reportedly spoken to both Napoli and Fenerbache, both who currently have managers.

There is time for him to land another job, don't think we need to worry about him.

He’s edited his post to add some context now.
Thanks, seen it now.

Mine was a joke though. He obviously answered the question.

And because Pep said yes when asked if he'd be here next season, and people argue he didn't answer the question.

Mate there are an awful lot of fans who would not be happy with Maresca taking over. I get the Vinny statement with Bayern fans not being happy. I think its just one of those topics that we will just disagree on.

He hates the journalists and fucks with them every single press conference. He however doesn't hate the nice smiley girl the BBC sent to do a one to one interview, which is why he gave her a straight answer. I'm staying.

As I've said before, nobody on the planet leaves a 20 million + salary on the table.

I'm not terrified of Pep leaving either tbh. I feel the squad is in a good place for the future. The 2 managers prior to Pep both won the League so its not like we had no success before he arrived. I like Enzo and think he'd do a good job. But I honestly think Peps gonna be here a while. He's come through the rough patch and looks really healthy and motivated to me. Where else is he gonna go? Spain NT is completely off the table and no other League will give him the same buzz as the Prem.

I'm not sure what Maresca has done in his managing career that qualifies him as the manager of one of the biggest and best clubs in the world. I'm not ruling out that if Pep leaves and Maresca joins, it could turn out well. We have seen unproven managers take big jobs and succeed before. But way more often than not they turn out to be over their head.

I would obviously prefer a manager that has proven he can win serious trophies before. It's hard to be anything but sceptic when we have gone from recruiting a manager widely considered as the best in world football to recruiting a manager with more or less no real top level success on his resume.
Maresca is the kind of manager we could recruit if we were to get relegated.
The managerial market is absolutely on its arse and it has been for a good few years now. You saw Bayern appoint Kompany, Madrid running back to Mourinho, Liverpool appointing an unknown Slot, Carrick staying on at the rags. There simply aren’t that many proven, elite managers around now, so you’ll be taking somewhat of a risk whoever you appoint

The good thing about managers is you can get rid of them pretty easily if it does go to shit, unlike a failed transfer

In the event that Pep does leave this summer, I'm neither in favour nor against Maresca taking over. The best candidate would be Enrique, after him there are a group of managers we could look at, none of whom entirely convince, and all come with an element of risk. My preference would be Iraola, but if it’s Maresca let’s get behind him.

I disagree with the notion that he failed at Chelsea because, in his first season he got them back into the Champions League, won the Conference League, and won the Club World Cup. Despite what some people say about the CWC, everyone who played in it wanted to win it, and everyone who didn't play in it wanted to. So to win it was a great achievement. Unfortunately Chelsea’s board are an absolute basket case, he basically told them as such and paid the price with his job.
