Hello is that you Pep!

… picking your favourites again.

Look we all know what a great player Rodders is, but he is not match fit. It was a massive risk picking Rodri for that final and it nearly cost us, Pep got away with it. If we want to win the next games Pep has to put his loyalty to one side and play the most dynamic fast forward playing match fit players we have available, Rodri needs to passenger until next season and get himself fit again.
Hahaha

Most blues that watched that game would say Rodri had a very good 45 minutes of football expecially just being back from injury, he had a good 45 minutes and it took it's toll in the second half due to the lack of match fitness.

The bigger issue was Marmoush, fully fit player who wouldn't run to warm himself and deservedly hooked at half time.

Maybe you watched a different game to everybody else or you have a personal agenda against Rodri, anyway whatever floats your boat.

everything is against us on this one. away, tough ground, no rest, they are motivated to qualify to europe, midweek, they've had a ton of rest
Rest can work both ways. They could be a little off the pace. Whereas we are on a high after winning the cup. Aside from 20 lax minutes at Hill-Dickey, we have been excellent for the past 2 months

Why the fuck Savinho?

This is shit or bust now ffs

There’s fuck all point in resting people

Really at a loss with some people’s aspirations
Our only other winger who can beat his man (albeit with normally poor end product) and allowing Doku to come on in the last 30-35 mins when he could be very effective

Realistically we have to consider freshness to give ourselves a good chance here. The players are not machines.

Accordingly, I am pretty certain Foden starts and that's why we didn't see him in the Cup Final.

Be interesting the team he puts out we know Donno Rodri Silva Haaland will definitely start apart from that not sure

Hello is that you Pep…. Piling up more trophies?

Quite a narrow pitch so normally we look to overload the centre and use the full backs here. Remember O’Reilly was brilliant in the cup game.

Donna; Nunes Khusa Guehi NOR; Rodri Bernardo; Doku Foden Cherki; Haaland

O'Reilly looked as shot or even more so than anyone else by the end of the game yesterday, I can see Ait Nouri, Ake or Gvardiol starting at LB.

Kick off time 19:30 (BST).

Going to be a tough tough game, they're unbeaten since the 3rd Jan and they've had 10 days rest.

God knows what this game will mean, take it to the last game of the season and keep them honest. Hopefully Kyle Walker sticks the winner in the top corner on Monday

---------------Donnarumma
Nunes--Khusanov--Guehi--O'Reilly
-----------Bernardo---Rodri
Semenyo-------Cherki----------Doku
-----------------Haaland

Unsure if Rodri can go again, might be a shout to get Kovacic, Foden and Gvardiol involved.
Can't argue with that I'm sure the players will be fine and still on a high after yesterday very even better if burnley can pull a shock off 2moz

Rodri looked absolutely goosed at Wembley. Rest him for Villa.

Savinho made a really good measured run and pass to Haaland for his assist to Marmoush for the 3rd against palace. Dont be too harsh on the lad. Its fine margins between goodness & greatness.

Toughest game it could possibly be with Bournemouth still with a chance of Champions League and just two days for us to recover from the cup final.
Meanwhile the Arse have Burnley.

Very tough game, scheduled by the cunts at the PL only 3 days after a draining Wembley final and all the travel complications we endured. Why the fuck in this day and age are we relying on the piss poor railways to get us to games, why not charter a fleet of helicopters to take the squad door to door

Anyway a tired team will need rotating. Phil and Sav played well last week and can come back in, Gvardiol too. I’d put Marmoush in not because he deserves it but because Erl by contrast put a proper shift in at Wembley and may need to rest on the bench for 45 or 60 mins. Ait Nouri at left back frees up young Nico to go in the middle if Bernie or Rodri are fatigued.

Might be the kind of game where it’s nice to be able to rotate back in the world’s best keeper

Burnley taking points of Arse would be huge and a massive boost for us ahead of what is likely to be a tough away game against a team with something still to play for.
