Blatant vandalism doesnt stop genocide.Stopping genocide. Do you support genocide?
One of the worst swerves in the thread.Blatant vandalism doesnt stop genocide.
For what it's worth I have no time for Israel or Palestine, I have equal contempt for both sides. One of the worst swerves in the thread.
What have you done to stop the genocide?
At least admit it's not mindless vandalism but calculated to deter British companies from supplying genocidal weapons.
Well as you're generally apathetic then why the hell would they want your support or anybody remotely like you?For what it's worth I have no time for Israel or Palestine, I have equal contempt for both sides.
What have I done to stop the genocide? Nothing, but as an onlooker plebs vandalising property does nothing to garner support.
I think we will hear more about this in the Kings Speech the government just don’t get it, they are bringing in more legislation to take away our rights “proscribed groups”Should have added, now we know why the British government tried to take away our rights with, trial without jury.
It's not about garnering support. It's about (in this case) destroying baby killer drones made in the UK.For what it's worth I have no time for Israel or Palestine, I have equal contempt for both sides.

Interesting watchThe fact that they're being sentenced as terrorists without the jury knowing, and before PA was proscribed, is scary.
Interesting watch
It's scary stuff. Combine this backdoor attack on the common law with the censoring of the press (or the manipulation of them to self censor).. add a sprinkling of threat a topping of tech monitoring and boom....The freeish society we knew is not looking that great for our kids. Some will agree with all this because of the issue being so contested.... but...as always... it never stops there does it, once sweeping powers are given, they get used for other things. This has always happened, from VAR being used to pull up tiny infringements as in Scotland the other day...to anti terrorism powers being used to detain journalists telling an inconvenient truth. If truth cant be told to power anymore, where are we as a society?Young people with a conscience found not guilty twice, imprisoned for18 months without bail.
The security guards attacked them first, the police join in using pepper spray and tasered them the second trial was a government set up imo.“Not allowed to say why they broke in to the factory”
The other four still in prison found guilty but the judge will sentence them as terrorists.
I agree it’s scary stuff a Labour government wants to reform our justice system and trial by Jury into trial by a judge for lesser crimes. “breaking and entering would be a lesser crime”It's scary stuff. Under the section 69 i think it is, any Foreign country can have you arrested for almost any crime, and have you punished for terrorism, without the jury knowing, it is astonishing that the British legal system allowed this to come in, but i do think these victims will find a way of appealing this miss use of the law, compensation is going to be interesting. This is no longer about Palestine Action.
Its about a government and the judiciary corrupting the law to suit their purpose and reasoning.
Whether you agree with what they did or you dont, it doesn't matter, not in this instance.
They went to commit damage. At the time PA was not a prescribed organisation so these people knew the likely punishment if/when caught. They accepted that.
After their arrest the government changed the law. Fine. But you cannot back date it, well you can and they have. That is wrong in every sense.
(How can it be right to withhold relevant information from a jury ?)
If their conviction stands they will have restrictions placed on them for life, breaching them will result in prison. That is wrong on every level.
It is a total disgrace.
Ok, first I agree with what you've posted, and I hope it is won on appeal but, (there's always a but isn't there)Under the section 69 i think it is, any Foreign country can have you arrested for almost any crime, and have you punished for terrorism, without the jury knowing, it is astonishing that the British legal system allowed this to come in, but i do think these victims will find a way of appealing this miss use of the law, compensation is going to be interesting.
We have paid compensation for people wrongly convicted and locked up for years.Under the section 69 i think it is, any Foreign country can have you arrested for almost any crime, and have you punished for terrorism, without the jury knowing, it is astonishing that the British legal system allowed this to come in, but i do think these victims will find a way of appealing this miss use of the law, compensation is going to be interesting.
A country with a government that is dividing its citizens in order to stay in power they bring in divisive legislation.Ok, first I agree with what you've posted, and I hope it is won on appeal but, (there's always a but isn't there)
Has any country ever back dated a law, especially a terrorism law, to convict somebody of an offence they did not know they were committing?
They committed burglary, (they broke into premises.) and they committed criminal damage.
They knew they were committing these offences and were prepared to face the consequences.
To now charge them with terrorism is disgraceful. Try getting a job, a visa for a foreign country, fuck it, try getting married when you now have to tell your wife/husband that for the rest of your life you will have to report to police stations and can't travel.
The Tories are supposed to be the bad guys, this is a Labour government, representing the people etc etc eckfuckin' cetra.
I seriously have to ask which country is running our country!
When CND activists sat around Greenham Common and then damaged the fence, they were not treated as terrorists and that was against nuclear war not killing aide workers, children and well just about anyone a soldier felt like killing.
What has this country become ?
