He was, yes. There is that point but was Pep out of contract at Barcelona?

I'm sure Pep will relish going to the middle East with what is going on over there.I got told he was going to Saudi, a few weeks ago. Its second hand info and comes from someone within the close security of the team and manager.
I thought it was absolute nonsense when I first heard it. But after seeing how things have developed since then, I can't really disregard it as flippantly as I did.
I have never before had itk info and I doubt I will ever get any again. But, its a little more believeable after the last few weeks.
It would really not surprise me to see him in Saudi. Get paid lots of money, a new experience for him, less pressure and he takes over a national team in a few years
Sure, Spanish nationalist groups, parts of the Madrid media, and some supporters would probably struggle to accept him as national team manager, but at the same time he is arguably the greatest Spanish coach of all time, and I’m convinced that most Spaniards feel his Catalan identity shouldn’t matter in sporting terms. Spain has also previously had both Basque and Catalan national team managers.Spain won't offer Pep the chance to manage Spain whether Pep want's to or not. And i very much doubt he does due to him being a staunch Catalonian wanting Catalan independence from Spain.
He won’t go anywhere straight away. When he leaves he’ll take a break and plan his next moveLiverpool in disarray
United fooling themselves
Arsenal clinging on after overreaching
Chelsea - yet another rebuild and false dawn
Villa - the sharks will be coming for their best players
If Pep wants to stay in football - he's in the best and most exciting place - unless it's for the sake of his health, he'd be crazy to leave now.
Like the pisscan with Moyes. No thanks. Stay Pep.Let’s all hope that the way Pep has seen the players come together since the start of the year has given him the incentive and the desire to see another season out. We’ve provided him with the perfect environment in which to operate, which is why he’s stayed so long. There isn’t a better place, in club football, for him to be but, like Bernardo, family may shape his decision. If it’s Maresca then it seems he’ll arrive with a ringing endorsement from Pep, that in itself should be enough to give him credibility with the players and the platform to be successful … until Vinny says “I will”.
Actually City's fans are remarkably loyal to managers. I can't remember the last time any of our managers got booed and chanted at in the stadium. There was some unrest building at the end of the Pellegrini era but it didn't really appear in the stands and after the annoucnement everyone was supportive and wished him well. Posts on forums don't count. All forums are full of bollocks.Don't hold your breath.
So did the Moyes disaster.I think our owners want a seamless transition without the upheaval of a completely new manager and a new style of football after Pep, so Maresca is ideal. TBH he wouldn’t be my first choice, but I will give him my support.
If that’s true hopefully he can take some of our deadwood over with him at exorbitant fees….I got told he was going to Saudi, a few weeks ago. Its second hand info and comes from someone within the close security of the team and manager.

Doesn’t need the money & likes a drink & social life. Can’t see him going there & making his daughter suffer their cultureI got told he was going to Saudi, a few weeks ago. Its second hand info and comes from someone within the close security of the team and manager.

I'd take it in a heartbeat. Don't even need to think about it.if he wasn’t signing a new contract going after next season, which then we will have 12 months of speculation if we lose that the players are not playing for him or other click bait stuff!
So here’s the question would you take that peps last year with all the media bullshit we will get!
Or him going this summer knowing really that it’s a new era next year or this?!
I would have another year because that year with new players will bring more pluses than not..
Pearce? The cup game at Blackburn was particularly vicious.Actually City's fans are remarkably loyal to managers. I can't remember the last time any of our managers got booed and chanted at in the stadium.
Next year wouldn't be as bad as this year because here wouldn't be any speculation, except on who comes in next maybe. there is too much respect for players not to play for him and just like his final years at Bayern and Barcelona it would probably be a successful year.if he wasn’t signing a new contract going after next season, which then we will have 12 months of speculation if we lose that the players are not playing for him or other click bait stuff!
