If you think Mansour, Khaldoon, Soriano, Viana etc. haven't known Pep's intentions all the way through then I have a bridge to sell you.

Seems to me like the rumours may have been true - that Pep always had a 1+1 year deal and told the club this would be his last season months ago. Hence us tapping up Maresca and Chelsea sacking him for it.

Transition support for new guy, aura still round the place etc
The next guy needs big shoulders - he’ll never replace Pep, that’s why I think Maresca as a hedge option followed by Kompany/other if it doesn’t work out ..

Maresca is already on the payroll. Just passing on what I got told.
