Frustrating as I think he's got the team in a decent place, although it will be difficult to replace Bernardo.

This season has gone better than I'd expected, or Arsenal have given us the chance to be closer than I'd expected anyway. Felt we would be inconsistent this season and we have been, but was hoping we'd make a good fist of it next year.

Hard to envisage that now. Tough act to follow and don't think Maresca has the reputation to survive a few bad results.

I think it’s unlikely whoever comes in for him will be there for a long time so Maresca makes sense and if he ends up doing great then it’s a bonus but there’s going to be a transition period for anyone.

I still think they see Kompany as the long term successor.
