In fairness, first reports of Maresca was absolutely ages ago, when he was still at Chelsea wasn’t he, they’ve had 3 managers since then.

I was convinved he would stay for at least one more season. But fuck it. It had to happen at somepoint, winning the league would have been the icing on the cake but two more trophies is a good way to say goodbye. The way the Premier League is no one team is going to run away (although we are to still going to be in the transisition stage), and at least Maresca has an idea on how things operate at City.
