Surely if pep actually rated the current squad he would see out his contract and try to go out winning one of the big two? He clearly doesn’t think this side is capable of doing it

Or he wanted to leave two years ago, was persuaded to stay, wanted to go last year but didn’t want to leave us in the shite, so helped assemble a much better squad so he can leave the team in a good place?

Be a massive downer if Pep goes but has to happen some time. We have been lucky to have had him in charge. And for so long. We were also great under Bobby Mac and Pelligrini so on we must move. Two of my top moments in recent years, first cup win for 35 years and the Aguero moment both under Mancini of course and not Pep.

We thank the genius for ten unforgettable years in dreamland; centurions, fourmidables, treble, the proper treble with the oh so important Champions league and this season’s cup double. Been absolutely joyous. Thanks Pep.

I just find it so strange that the club wouldn’t give him more of a send off and more time to say goodbye etc.
I cannot believe or understand why you would wait until a week left in the season and with a year left on his contract and denied multiple times he would “never” leave City this season.
For the biggest departure in the club’s history I would have thought he would have given months of notice.
Also seems odd that he will leave alongside so many other players when the team is midway through a huge transition.

Sunday is set to be a really historic day on many fronts I suppose with the opening of the north stand, Bernie and Johnny and now probably Pep leaving. Jeez lads get the tissues ready. Going to be an emotional rollercoaster and might even have a league title to dream of.

Still hoping this is bullshit. Don't rate Maresca at all for this level and pressure. Handling egos and pressure with his tiny experience at top level. Viana needs to be clever here. If he is pushing for Maresca he goes with him if it turns out poor replacement. Winning the league in his 1st season would be hard ask. With Pep and few great transfer we could do it. Fucking another transition season most likely. He players react another big thing. Maresca has not much aura.
