Pep to leave at the end of the season

This is a VERY different club than it was at that time. We're not skint and are now an extremely well run club. Maresca has one season at Leicester, who were in a mess having just been relegated and lost key players, and he got them promoted again. He had one season at Chelsea, who were in a mess and won two trophies and finished 4th. They're a mess again now he's left. Given that he also knows how the club works, having worked with Pep, I think it's a great signing. Mancini and Pellegrini were both successful before Pep arrived, we're not a "one-trick pony"
I’m not talking about Maresca, I’m talking about Pep leaving and the impact above all else on two teenage boys who’ve known nothing much other than Pep

Have to imagine the club are fuming with this getting out to the press today before the critical Bournemouth game.

Surely City need to put this to bed, one way or the other tomorrow daytime

Confirmation he’s staying will be a huge boost to everybody

Confirmation he’s going means everybody can get behind a huge effort to send him away with another PL title

Staying quiet will just increase the uncertainty and could harm our chances of getting a win tomorrow night

You're wrong with your comments, but, in any event, delete your 1st paragraph, then if he's got your 100% support!
Absolutely not wrong, just Google “Leicester City and Chelsea fans not happy with Maresca” there’s many articles on the issue of his Management, you can personally disagree but to ignore the criticism from loyal supporters is a bit naive.

I think he was going to leave at the end of last season but realised that the team was in a mess, and the rebuild that started that January needed a lot more work. When he signed the new contract, I remember him saying that I can't leave the club like this.

He's won us two more cups, and has brought the age of the squad down, a squad that's now in good shape for the next incumbent.

All I will say on this even if pep is staying or going is what fucking shit stirrers the daily fail are , of course its on the eve of a title decider the shit stirring wankers .
True, but Pep and City have let it play out, even though Pep said he was staying next season. City and Pep should have made a statement on the OS to kill the speculation one way or another.

If it is a lie, the Daily Mail and the cunts who made up the headline and story should be banned from the Etihad. The timing, if the headline and story is true, is perfect for Arsenal. It stinks!

When Pep leaves we were always going to need a transition, it being somebody who has worked under Pep makes the transition easier, he'll try and have the team play inferior pep-lite football which is the best we can hope for immediately after Pep. It allows the squad to still be functional without drastic, risky change and gives us a shot at success. We've gone 2 years without a title, we cannot be going many more without completely losing the winning machine mentality as there wont be many title winners left in the squad if that happens and a big change makes that possibility more likely.

It's the manager after the manager after Pep that has to be the correct call. Keeping Vinny an option for that role and not being the transition option is a smart move. When he comes, we want him here for a long time, not sure the man after Pep will be here that long.

Personally think we should be throwing everything at trying to get Enrique lined up for as soon as possible, he's the only standout for me that could bring even slightly comparable long term regular success, we should be going after him like we went after Pep.
I'm hearing from various sources that Maresca will be a stopgap until Enrique arrives. Normally, I can back up a comment because I know the source at the club (was at the club many years ago) is reliable.

I didn’t say he was angry at any point.
OK, but you inferred it using the word "spikey" and saying "couldn't be arsed to be there".

I noticed an edge to his press conferences in the week like he really couldn’t be arsed to be there. Spikey at all times when asked about him leaving and he looked wistful and a bit alone on the pitch at Wembley.
He's never really been arsed at press conferences with stupid questions though.

He seemed quite happy today, until the "stupid" question, which he basically blocked and moved onto the next idiot.
