I'll blame holt for releasing it, he's an absolute ****, wherever it came from, the mail employ him, and yes I know how the media work, they spend all their time undermining OUR club constantly.

I think it might have been planned. I was listening to TalkSport and at 8pm the rumours started - just as the Arsenal vs Burnley game kicked off.

I txted a friend and said: this is possibly just mischief - small margins and all of that. Trying to either destabilise Arse tonight (didn't work) or get the players to go from 110% to 150% tomorrow and Sunday - still may work.

He can always do a u-turn if Palace win at the weekend and we get 6 points in the final two matches and then this becomes a masterstroke!
 
The media are absolutely loving this. The fact that it was the great unwashed Holt breaking the story rankles very much.


They all cant wait for him to go so their collective red fanboy clubs can get back to winning the league with Pesky Pep and 115 Cheating Lick'l old City out of the way.

Apart from Martin Samuel they should take a collective long walk off a short pier.....
 
Pep scaled the heights here and created alchemy with the club, but we knew it was coming.

Maresca knows the club, the club knows Maresca, and many of the players already know Maresca, so he should hit the ground running.

He’ll bring his own team, which explains the clear out!
 
pep was with us 10 years and only won the champions league once. it wont be the worst thing ever to move on. maybe the next coach will have the slightest clue what counter attacking and playing fast looks like instead of waiting for the opposition to get back into the box to stop us from accomplishing anything over and over again.

i do love pep but lets be honest. we could have scored way more goals if our players knew how to counter with speed. and were encouraged to do so.

Maresca wasn't here even two years. Does he know the club? Viana is here now and hasn't worked with him before.

Alonso toppling that one team league at Leverkusen was a huge achievement. I'd have sooner we went for him than Maresca.

I thought it was rather strange on Saturday when Pep led the team to collect the FA Cup. Can't recall him doing that before and mentioned it to the gentleman I was stood next to.

Until it has been officially announced I'm keeping everything crossed. Be a real blow to the floating rib if he's off. Virtually irreplaceable.
