Pep to leave at the end of the season

He didn't have a change of heart, he just didn't tell the truth to journalists. Why would he? The club have handled this impeccably as usual. Getting him to sign until the end of next year basically meant he didn't spend the whole of this year being asked about his future. If we knew he was leaving at the end of the year, the noise surrounding the club would have been unbearable. Every time we dropped points, there would be accusations that Pep's future was a distraction and the players were no longer playing for him.
Its as simple as this.

Pep, please stay one more year. Then we can have the PSG manager, he is not signing a new contract. It would be seamless.

Note the sky blue circle around the 7.30 KO in the MCFC official announcement just now

If only the Premier league had allowed a fair title race this season, the boss could of decided his future with another glorious domestic treble under his belt.
But it's not about how good your team is on the pitch these days in football, it's decided off the field by others

That's exactly right mate. The club have handled this as well as they can.

Quote from Pep's presser on the OS: "“I’m sure the process next season I’m pretty sure will be stable when I know the players better.”"

I’m obviously missing something but if it’s an open secret within the Club and the players know then why the continued charade about one more year? Why wouldn’t the Club simply confirm he’s leaving? It’s not how City do things now. Until I see it announced on the Club’s website I’m holding out for him staying at least another year.

Exactly. Trust in our club, not bullshit stories from the media or pathetic social media hacks who's only interest is feeling relevant and getting clicks

City need to change their announcement plans and confirm it today as this is a bit of a mess now. We have the HERE WE GO on our new manager before the club have even announced Pep is leaving.
Why?
To feed the red media and the content creators that make money over this?

Fuck them; the club should do exactly as they intended.
