Enzo Maresca

Still reeling from it. Very worried about Maresca but also makes a lot of sense.

Change after 10 years feels strange though and thats probably where the worry comes from.

I still dream of Vinny as manager and Fernandinho as assistant with Gundo and Kev in the coaching staff

Good shout Fabragas amazing job with como but maresca knows the club. Fab or the Bournemouth manager for me

I don’t think he’s the right choice and I don’t like him as a coach or a geezer.

But if he’s the choice I’ll still support him.

Yeah, I have the same policy toward players, really. If they're wearing that blue shirt, in the stadium, I'll support them, whatever I think of them personally.
However, I must say that when I see rumours that we're interested in Vinicius, he is perhaps the one player in the world that's on the other side of that line.
Anyway, that's another subject, and thread.

I see Chelsea are saying we tapped up Maresca.
Sorry, but they sacked him because he thought Blue Co's player purchase strategy was for the birds.

I love pep and id have him stay forever but now ive got my head around it im actually looking forward to the future new tactics new signings seeing how the players react players like foden getting back into form, Enzo has probably always been the choice going back years in the making.
Not looking forward to it myself. You can’t follow a legend without any big wobbles. I would rather pep stayed 10 more season but adapt we must or fall into obscurity.

Good luck Enzo -:)

Gonna need it.

We had, Guardiola, we had, Guardiola. We had, Guardiola now he’s gone.

Now we’ve got, Temu-Guardiola, we’ve got, Temu-Guardiola. We’ve got, Temu-Guardiola so glad you’re mine.

If you say Temu-Guardiola quick it works. I just came up with that master piece in the shower.
Get back in the shower and try to wash the stupid off you

If he is the one to replace Pep, it is an underwhelming appointment.

There is only one man I wanted for whenever Pep left, and that’s Luis Enrique. Of course, there’s nothing saying he wants to leave PSG and, even if he did, there’s nothing saying he’d want to come to City. But nobody else comes close to Pep and Enrique, it’s them two and then it’s everyone else a long way behind.

However, if Maresca does come I’ll give him my full backing and think he has two years’ grace before being fully judged (obviously can be judged match-by-match).

I'm strangely happy with this appointment. It wouldn't feel right for City just to parachute in the latest big name and flavour of the month. The club the majority of the big decisions right and I'm perfectly happy to take this guy at face value and judge him by what I see.
And Pep has had a massive input in deciding who would take over from him

Okay i get it people might not like maresca but this is the part i don't get, the club gets more right than it does wrong and the two people they brought in pre pep both won a title and whos to say they wouldnt have won more given time and maybe just maybe they might have asked pep his opinion and he has suggested maresca and if we all think as highly of pep as we should then maybe we should respect his opinion and on top of that lets not forget that captain black and vinnie are both pep disciples and are both doing very well, (annoyingly in captain blacks case). Is it a case of him not being a shiny new toy that enrique is? The biggest name is not always the best option.

You should’ve had a bath.
