Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Honestly, well done to them. They've been the most consistent team this season, and we've been well off it.

There's been a lot of whinging about their playing style, and I get it, but ultimately, it's the league's fault for not cracking down on all of this in-the-box stuff. Can't moan at them for being the best at exploiting it.

They are the rightful champions and have been at the head of the table for most of the season.
It may be winning football, but it is not what any of us wanted when we were kids. We could not leave the house without a ball. We were Zico, we were Maradona, we were Platini, we were Kinkladze. We were not writhing on the floor feigning injury nor grappling at corners. We raced our bikes to the field and laid down our coats for goalposts, pegging it to the centre-circle for kick off because we loved the game. We whipped our corners in as fast as we could. We raced to take our throw-ins to get on with it for the love of the game. Fly goalie was an excuse to get on the ball. Fly goalie meant we could play even when we didn't have enough. A ball out of play was lost joy. We moaned if it went too far because we lost the moment.

Don't lose that love. Hold it in your hearts because it is what we stand for. We want to win, but win with joy, and football will give us that chance once more.

What's revealing about that is how many of those involved the PGMOL coming out and admitting that they got it wrong after the game. 3 penalties and a red card (which would have lead to a 3 game ban), all in games that Arsenal either drew or won by one goal. Plus one that Dermot Gallagher said they got wrong even if the PGMOL didn't admit it. It was like the rags' last title win all over again.

You are Ron Manager and I claim my £5.

Genuinely, hats off to them...

They've won the League - with some questionable VAR decisions, but you could look back on any title win in history and pick out some odd decisions in favour of the eventual winners.

They've got to the Champions League Final - albeit they had the 'easy' side of the knock out draw, but you can only play what in front of you, and they had a 100% Win record in the league phase, if I'm not mistaken.

They got to the League Cup Final, beaten by the second best team in the country this season.

And only a freak result against Southampton prevented them from probably/possibly making it to the final of every competition this season.

Since Arteta has joined they have improved year-on-year, and this season its all clicked.

Congratulations, Arsenal!

We'll be back next season!!

Surprised you can remember that far back!

The matter of fact bottom line is that if we had won against Everton and Leeds, we would be about to take it to the last day. If we had been more clinical in other games, we would already have the title. It has been down to our failings that Arsenal are champions.

What is funny is that the Southampton news has had more coverage of this on talksport so far. Infact you’d be unaware Arsenal had just won a league title for the first time in 22 years!
We beat Leeds twice.

All of this. I’m more than willing to say well done to their league win as it was our own failings that has contributed to it. I cannot accept them winning the CL though.

I hope PSG absolutely wipe the floor with them.
Providing the game has a strong referee who calls out all their holding and blocking tactics along with feigning injuries any time an opponent enters their box ,can't see any way they win. PSG to win by 2 clear goals.

Roughest, manhandling side we've seen since Leeds could end the season with no red cards and no penalties?

But yeah, hAts OfF tO aRseNaL... fuck 'em, the anti-football boring cunts. Sooner would've seen Villa win it if we couldn't.
