Pep to leave at the end of the season

I don't think it does. The official line is pep has one more year on his contract. It's all the media wankers sticking their necks out and saying he's going. I suspect it's true, but also would not surprise me if it's bollocks and no one wants to be the last to report the news.
Since last night's result they've basically stopped reporting it, their job was done on Monday evening/Tuesday.

Yeah, his autobiography you have on your bedside table....
It was Beckhams actually!!
( I was staying with a Rag relative nothing else to read). I actually wanted to see what Beckham said about 1) the boot throwing incident 2) Rebecca Loos. I recall feck all of what shite was spouted but I recall the GPC supposed retirement- I wish to feck he had gone that season. The cnut did another decade.

A
Notice of what?

He bought that apartment before it was even fitted out so he could smash 2 apartments together into a massive one. He’s not renting.
Agree. I thought he bought it for about £1.5m circa 2017. I remember seeing it online in the MUEN so it must be true...

Seriously I do think he owns. Unless he sold the big family apartment when Mrs and youngest went back to Spain in 2019?

It needs a time of reflection and discussion. Pep has been focused on the matches, and prep. Now he has to think does he still have the ear of the players, he has to think what he wants to do. He needs to know what Khaldoon thinks and whether Khaldoon wants to go with Maresca. City might want to break if Pep wants to leave in 2027 come what may.

These are big questions and the right time to consider them is after the season, or even at this moment when the die is cast. It's only now that Pep can assess what he has done this season. I don't think we will have to wait long.
I would have probably gone along with that if Khaldoon had not been at the cup final. If a meeting of this magnitude were to take place it will have happened by now. Whatever is happening, Khaldoon will already know.

City are not going to hang around if they need a new manager, they'll want to know to give them time to get somebody in and as was the case when Guardiola arrived, I strongly suspect a similar scenario taking place in that Maresca will have known for some time he is going to take over, to the point where City may even have bought him out of his Chelsea contract.

Everything falls into place, him leaving Chelsea after such a short time, not picking up another job since despite having a high reputation in football circles, Pep stating last night that he would be speaking to the chairman rather than his usual "I have a year left on my contract" line. Whether Pep has decided to go or the club have decided it's time to move on, I have no doubt that it will have been well planned in advance. This hasn't just happened.

There are some really needy posters on here….a little bit like when they throw their toys out when we don’t sign the new shiny toy (transfer target)…..there are obviously reasons for any delay in the announcement ( if there is anything to announce)……waiting until after the Villa match really doesn’t make any difference now that the game doesn’t mean anything…..both City and Pep will have their reasons.

‘Needy’ - do one. I think it’s a fucking joke neither the club or Pep has said anything. Absolute piss take.

I still find it bizarre that neither Pep or City have said anything, especially after pretty much every media outlet has reported this. Piss poor imo.

I know what you mean. I'm at the North Stand test event tonight and it's very odd that it's all business as usual, while speculation is rife about the most important figure at the club!

Thought it was strange myself. Thought maybe accusations of collusion /tapping up while still in the job . SJ was being a bit coy but obviously thought it had legs
Well we've been accused of everything else so what the fuck. Word around other clubs' fans seems to be that the 115 is due to be announced so he's leaving before the shit hits the fan.

As for Simon Jordan, it's known as TalkShite for a reason...

Does anyone else feel the longer this goes on, the more likely it is that he stays for his last year?

I have got used to the idea that hes off for what its worth, but I had imagined a statement last night/ this morning or around 7pm tonight from the club to confirm he will leave end of the season.

The fact there's been nothing yet , added to his comments post match last night are giving me a niggling feeling that something is going on. Again, this isnt even wishful thinking. Just seems strange that by tomorrow it will be 3 days since it was national tabloid news and the club have done nothing to confirm or deny it. It's all a bit lame leaving us fans in limbo either way.

The BBC used to hide the bias, they'd maybe remove the odd city fans comments from HYS, or ignore city fans requests to have other fans derogatory comments removed. But these days, they're right out of the closet, they really couldn't give a fuck about how brazen they are with it. This article today by him is without a doubt the most brazen so far. It's like, their shown they're hand now, there's no going back, (unless they remove the story and apologise, of which there is no chance). It's utterly disgusting, and from an apparent unbiased corporation
Let's all boycott the licence fee! After all it's just another indirect tax, we have to pay in law.

And 'other clubs fans' would know because?

How hard is it for Pep and the club to decide whats going on?
Why would you think Pep and the club don't know what's going on?

It was a LEAK, if the club and/or Pep have decided they're going to tell everybody on Sunday or whenever then that's what they will do. Just because some of you don't have the patience to wait and see and are reacting exactly the way the media want you to react won't bother them, and nor should it. It's their decision to make and if they choose not to change their original plans just because some twat leaked it then that's entirely their prerogative. It's what I would do.
