Pep to leave at the end of the season

The video is fascinating for what Pep has valued at his time in the club and why he has fallen in love with Manchester as much as Manchester City Football Club. I don't think I was expecting references to Pankhursts and the industrial heritage and united response to the Manchester bombing and the music.

It's an end of a chapter in Pep's life and in our own lives too. I am very grateful for the trophies and all the experiences we had as a club and fanbase together with Pep.

Barcelona, and Bayern went on to prosper and I am sure that we will, and that Pep will too in a new life.

Thanks for everything Pep, there's been some massive highs and (not as many) some lows over Your time here but You've been immense, I hope leaving gives him the peace He needs and for Him to be still part of the CFG is massive in it's own right imo.

Always that possibility of Him coming back and doing a Martin O'Neill to win us a league in 20 years if we are struggling!

I urge any city fan with the means and the time, to get to that stadium on Sunday. If you've not got a ticket, get one, before it's too late. You are witnessing the end of an era, the best manager to have managed anyone anywhere. You'll be able to tell your kids, grandkids, and anyone else that will listen, that you saw the greatest manager ever manage his last game for the greatest club ever. Don't miss out

I'm gutted. Floored. Knew it was happening, but still.

I can't thank Pep enough for everything. The football, the trophy haul, the enjoyment, the way he stood in our corner and fought for Manchester, fought for City. Always lived by the philosophy of be better - whether it's referees or var selectively officiating, rivals claiming their best players are injured only to name them in the stating line up, fine, bring it on. We must be better. What a way to live any life.

If I have one regret, it's that 115 was not resolved and cleared whilst he was still here, as there's enough empty heads out there to keep that going until the verdict is done.

I honestly don't know how some of these tribal 'what about city ' idiots, in the media and of the public, can listen to Pep talk about losing his mum, the Manchester bombing, and then they say 'yeah but 115'. The same jealous faces that claimed he's ruined football by winning things, that he's won nothing until he done it twice, three times, four times. Yeah ok then, challenge accepted.

He's a legend of the game, and I hope he gets the respect he deserves for what he's done on our pitches, and most of all for being human about it. He's won and lost but never, ever has he lost the passion for our game or for our club. Anybody would love him representing their club, and we get to say he's forever Blue. Sorry, but regardless of the title, regardless of the 115, we won anyway. Because what a hell of a ride we've had.

Forever Blue, Pep is the essence of Manchester.

The biggest job we have now, we have to back Maresca, we have to avoid idolising Pep as a forever unmatchable force, otherwise we'll follow the raggies into obscurity. This is where our club needs to show again that we're more than just one person, even if it was a very, very special person.

Now I'm off to chop some onions, honest.

Proper tough week this. An era is over, but what an era. So pleased his sticking around too as that should end the shit about him leaving because the charges are dropping.

The GOAT.

Let’s turn Sunday into the biggest thank you party ever. Bernardo, Johnny and Josep we adore you.
In my time as a supporter we have had several up periods: the mid 50s with the Revie plan, the late 60s and onwards with the wonderful Joe, the period immediately after the take over with Bobby Manc and finally the Pep era.
“ He’ll only stay there for three years” quipped the reds…on no, it’s a decade. A decade of brilliance, a decade in which City became a global force, feared even by the likes of Real Madrid. A decade of Pep. Thank you Pep for a special time

I assume Chelsea will claim he was tapped up.

Which, if we’re honest, seems likely.
Fair enough. If they felt that, they should have acted against us in January though.

And at the end of the day it was still their decision to give him what he wanted.

Just watched that video and pretty choked up actually even though it was inevitable. What a decade it’s been. What a legacy he leaves. Won the lot for/with us. And even though we fell short in the PL and Europe this season, he’s set the foundations of a new team, and finished with a domestic double.
