Not arsed re the result but let’s be honest that was a diabolical performance to send the great man off with.

Bottom line is the “squad” players are absolutely wank and we have a lot of work to do to get back to the days of having “two first teams” and a bench where every player would walk into everyone else’s first 11.

Reijnders, Gonzalez, Lewis, Marmoush, Savinho simply cannot be here next season. Nowhere near the level to win leagues and CLs.

I’ll save my thoughts on the day/send offs for other threads.

Overall the offside rule needs looking at however...I'm sure it was better when there had to be clear daylight between forward and last defender

An emotional day thats for sure, it was a dead rubber of a game.

Hopefully Maresca's new broom is a big one, as there's loads of dead wood to be cleaned away. But thats for a different time and place.

Today it's all about Pep, Bernardo and John Stones, and the end of a halcyon period in the history of our club.

The end of an era for sure and I'm not sure how I'll be in an hours time, probably a blubbering wreck.

Pep obviously wanted a show piece, and that’s what he got. Would’ve been happy to win but the intent was to get so many players on the pitch that he thinks he ‘owed’.

Game wasn’t about a win, we’d already earned our place. It was about those leaving for pastures new.
