Credit to the Villa players

I am sure the topic is Credit to the Villa players. They were absolutely outstanding, running to create the guard of honour, not once but twice. Yes, we have all experienced their fans but to drone out about them just because you have been to Wembley etc - instead of trying to pat yourselves on the back for going to Wembley, give credit where it is due. Villa players were class today. Ps yes, it is my first post & no, I’m not a Villan.

Yeah fair play to the players and also the officials for facilitating it, would not have surprised me one but if one of them had looked to stop it.

The fans can get fucked though, vocally booing Bernardo was a disgrace. If we were a rival and we had beef then fair enough but there is nothing there with Villa fans.

They didn't have to join in with the love in just keep your mouth shut for 2 minutes, stay respectful and witness the moment. Or be a **** and boo. Wankers.
Thought the Villa players were fantastic.

Their fans applauded Bernardo’s substitution at first but then booed when their team gave Bernardo a guard of honour and were all going mad and screaming ‘fuck off’ when they did the same for Stones.

The shit accent Brummie cunts can fuck off, but their players are sound.
Fair play to the thirteen of them who stayed even later than some Blues did for the presentations though.

Yep, fair play to the Villa players , I don't think our minds were ever really on the football today, but they went out of their way to pay respect to Bernardo and Stones in the middle of a game, so they deserve great credit..... they actually played well in that second half.

It wasn't for us or from us though. It was a sign of respect from fellow professionals for their unbelievable careers. If there was anything on the game for either side, i'd probably say it shouldn't be done but with it meaning fuck all to both teams it was a great gesture and tbh, probably meant more to them, they know they're going to get the love from the fans, to get it from their opponents on the pitch is the ultimate respect that both deserved.
As fans we often overlook the respect that rival professionals have for each other. They are colleagues.

Was sat with at least 10 Villa fans this afternoon mostly women and we all knew this was a dead rubber but when Foden equalized for a perfectly good goal that even that mother Var of the devil said it was onside and the ref gave it they were all jumping up and down like it was a title winner. But it’s always going to be thus sow and the winner was pep.
Cough cough.

Giving that guard of honour to John and Bernardo when they got substituted was pure class.
Quite.. What a lovely gesture from the Villa players and management.. then those daft twunts on MOTD (Shearer and Rooney, egged on by that cretinous presenter) have to spoil it with their stupid responses..

For goodness' sake, why can't these herberts take a moment and (in the words of that young whippersnapper Harry Styles) 'treat people with kindness'.. not much to ask, surely?!

Well done Emery and Villa.. wish you well..

I thought the guards of honour were a bit overkill tbh. A nice touch but not really necessary. We had post match the parade and coop live to say good bye properly. Probably will get shot down for this, but it’s what I thought
I agree. Wouldn't want to see us doing that. Maybe I'm old school but game still going on and two guards of honour mid game? Not for me personally.

Emery is a class act, always has been, a great manager and a good man. Their players were class too.

Their fans were mostly cunts but credit to the handful that hung around and applauded everything we did. Genuinely think about 100 stayed and clapped Pep about an hour after full time.

The few Villa fans that did were the best supporters in the country.

I have no doubt that Pep, our players n staff had already congratulated Unai Emery, his players n staff on their Europa success beforehand, too ...we're classy like that, so respect to the Villa players class act n to their gaffer's press conference tribute to the "only genius in football"

Real recognise real!

To be fair it wasn't a testimonial, would be fuming if we did that .
“Game recognizes game” as they say over here.

Villa players have done their club proud this week. As for the fans…well, they’re partisan to the last and, as my wife shouted at them at the top of her lungs from the Kippax on her very first visit to Maine Road…”Fuck off, Villa!”
