The After Party at CO-OP LIVE

I'm just glad they didn't bring out all the individual trophies as well, the golden boots, the golden gloves, ballon d'or, pfa player of the year etc.. otherwise it would have gone on all night.

When they brought out the first trophy individually, and I saw the length of that line on stage I thought, we'll be here a while.

Whatba good idea though, to show the sheer scale of the achievement, and to do it in order reminding us of the azing key moments involved.

What a decade!

I was recording on my phone. Halfway through I had to give up with an aching arm.

Fair play, the Co-op live event was brilliant, and the club pulled out all the stops to ensure Pep, Stones and Silva got the send offs they deserve.

I was pissed off at the time about the logistics for getting from NQ before the last entrance at Co-op (still think those timings weren't thought through) and in the end me and my family had to miss out on the start of the parade, which was disappointing. But, it was quickly forgotten once inside and at least the parade gave everyone a chance to see it all, whether they were going to the event or not.

Classy celebrations, done like very few clubs. Legends past and present and hopefully very appealing for potential signings to want to be part of it.

City have successfully opened up one of the most impressive stands in Europe, put on a brilliant end of season party celebrating a cup double, saying bye to some of the biggest legends the club will ever have, and the biggest legend in the club’s history, putting it all together really well, in a packed Co-op Arena the club helped build, and still we have people moaning.
The beer prices though :-)

I would have stayed all night to be fair.

The pie in the sky the rags have for old Trafford, a lot of the things they will want integrated into it to make it a 7 day a week venue. They have either been done or about to be done with one of the best arenas in the world, a hotel and food and drink options all on the Etihad campus.

Speaking to somebody involved recently; yes 100%, the campus will be a 7 day a week venue. Whether its football or concerts.
And both will work hand in hand.
Someone up for a gig may stay in the hotel and kill the afternoon by doing the city tour.
Someone may hang about after a game to attend a concert.

But at the mo, my guy said,”we almost have to pay people to head out east of the centre”

The comparison was with fulhams new stand the fulham pier that is there now. Its a bit different strolling along the thames than the canals in mcr

But…. The club are actively buying up any land that comes up for sale in the strip between the centre and the etihad. Though i know thats no secret

Interesting about buying the land, is this for anything particular ?

But at least you could sit at your seat with a beer - I realised though that if that ever came back in the ground I could be in real trouble - I got through far too many seven quid grolsch's last night - to be fair our group of 13 went straight in at 3pm (well those of us who didn't have 'problem tickets' - the gate nazi's were being as awkward as possible) and we didn't leave until nearly 9.

They are buying the land where the tesla garage is when that lease is up for starters.

2 reasons i guess. Our owners already work very closely with the council and own vast areas of land in mcr, they are running a business at the end of the day to make money.

Also to improve that strip of land and to extend the city centre out towards etihad.
I wouldnt expect anything ‘wow’.
Be in the main flats houses etc.

The surrounding areas are already a million times better than when we first moved there eh?

We will probably see any future trophy parades end up at the Co op rather than the newly refurbed town hall and Albert Square: The club will have made money on food , drink and ticket sales which can help on Enzo’s transfer budget this summer. Every little helps.
I was going to start a new thread to discuss this.
It shows the vision CFG have and their future plans. They have shifted everything away from Deansgate towards NQ, the Co-Op, hotel and ground. That means it is money going in their pockets.
Can you imagine the hotel prices in 12 months time when we do a Sunday title presentation and Monday parade !
