Given the choice there’s only one club he’s going to want to play for. New manager fresh start and a point to prove
I've narrowed it down to ourselves and the rags.Given the choice there’s only one club he’s going to want to play for. New manager fresh start and a point to prove
He did needle a few peoplehe was sew good for us.
knotty by nature.
The treble season Jack wasn’t too shabby?I think the fact of Jack being involved in last nights celebrations may be a good indicator.
I really hope he gets a secind chance, and that he can get certain aspects of his behaviour under control with support. I like him, always have. The Villa Jack was a good player and if EM can get him back on that track we benefit imo.
I agree all your points, and I think it’s disgusting IF someone at the club has said it (but tbh it could be someone in the club shop, or similar), but to say it as “the club have said it, fact” is simply untrue, and calling someone “a functioning alcoholic” in public is, I would suggest, potentially defamatory.I think the larger issue is that we have members of staff at City who see no issue with going around telling anyone they meet that one of our players is a functioning alcoholic.
Leaving aside the fact that only a member of the medical team can make that diagnosis, and to do so and then broadcast it outside of anyone but Jack and his agreed representatives is a breaking of his/her professional ethics, Is quite possibly defamatory, and is frankly utterly disgusting behaviour, that leak has now lead to public discussion on a public forum about a young lad who may or may not be having serious personal struggles.
The only sensible option is to out the leaker to the club and ensure he/she is removed from their position forthwith. We simply cannot condone tolerating employees of this football club telling anyone outside the person involved deeply personal news. And if said person is a member of the medical profession (as surely they have to be to have arrived at such a diagnosis) then the BMA/RCN also need to be informed and they need to be struck off.
This goes beyond supporting a favourite player, it goes to the harm such a person can do to both the club, its’ employees, and the wider public.
Matters like a players apparent alcoholism simply cannot, under any circumstances, be gossiped about.
Like alcohol, drugs, gambling & anything else seemingly enjoyable, moaning is addictive.Good luck telling the media that. Or indeed a lot on here. They love to moan, whinge, cry and gossip on here. It's not known as Bluemoan for no reason. Witness the match threads or player threads on particular players. To plenty on here, moaning seems to be their oxygen.
Personal & professional security is a huge problem in society & more so when large amounts of wages or bonuses for gossip newspaper stories are involved.I think the larger issue is that we have members of staff at City who see no issue with going around telling anyone they meet that one of our players is a functioning alcoholic.

Looks a lot like a moan this ;)Good luck telling the media that. Or indeed a lot on here. They love to moan, whinge, cry and gossip on here. It's not known as Bluemoan for no reason. Walking up to a taxi and getting in then closing the door.If his off field behavior could match his onfield behavior, nobody would have any problems with Jack.
He needs to grow up, and step up, as he appears to have very transfer value, but could be a good asset to the team.
