Enzo Maresca

The pressure will be on from the start. Whether the Red Shirt Cartel fans and City haters can accept it or not, City are now a big club on the football world stage, so Maresca will have hit the ground running and deliver results and trophies. City don’t accept second best anymore, apart from finishing 2nd this season, and winning the FA Cup and the Carabao cup.

Massive change at etihad all of a sudden. New manager, complete back room clean out, probably 6 or 7 players too. Could be quite a challenge to get off to a flying start next season.

Relying on Phil and Ruben to be back to what they were. Reindeer to get back to what he was in the first game of the season (and only that one), if he is kept! Nico to step up. Marmoush to show more than flashes. Spurs want savinho again for £60m, get that deal done. Anderson in. Not sure how we hang on to Trafford. And if there are any academy players who can do a NOR. Alleyne unlikely to break through as centre halves is where we are better equipped. Need six top players or so. Please not Vinicius arse jnr.

Haaland, donna, Trafford, khus, Mark G, Nunes, Gvardiol, Nor, doku, semenyo, Rodri (staying?), cherki, and let’s add Phil, gives only 12 quality players here now as two on my list there are keepers. That is miles off from the squads of the Pep middle five or six seasons where we largely had two players per position.

Lots of work to do this summer. Wonder how the attraction of City will be impacted by no Pep and the media frenzy over the damn 115?

Would have liked to see Iraola given a shot ( Enrique, Kompany off-limits for the time being) but the club have been conservative in their appointment. I wish him all the best. Maybe he could get a transplant to stop all the Temu Pep references ?
Nah he’d look a bit stupid with a kidney on his bonce.

Get him on the coaching staff Maresca...

"Oh, Pablo Zabaleta..."

We need that warrior mentality here...

Even the Albanians loved him and knew he was the man.

I hope Zab doesn't go into management because he needs to come back here both him and Fernandinho, they need to get their arses here along with Willy Caballero as the inevitable assistant.

Enzo Maresca's... Bald squad assemble.

And it is a measure of where we're at, that this season was considered by some as a bit 'meh'.

Now that has peaked my interest! Forgot about MadZab. Interesting timing of leaving Albania….

The complete back room staff clear out seems a little dangerous to me. It’s what Moyes did after the Pisscan retired.
It’s what all managers do they want their own team that they are comfortable working with and know their methods. No surprise. The most important person at City that you wouldn’t want leaving at the same time is the DOF.

3rd the year before as well btw...

Any manager coming in now can't be expected to win everything immediately that's madness. This squad isn't equipped for it yet. Might be a different story later in the window depending what business we do but placing that sort of expectation on a new manager to follow Pep is just setting him up for failure. Maresca needs a year to make his mark for me.
