Yan Diomande

If Savinho leaves, which he might do, his game time has been limited this season, and we have signed his replacement too a fair extent, then Barcola would be my first choice, Diomande second, there is more chance of Diomande and he would be cheaper, he is fast can use both feet and determined, but first dibs is going to be the academy pre season.

Barcola prefers to play on the left, but Kvara is better; he's not good on the right, which is why Doué plays ahead of him.

He's looking for a place where he's guaranteed a starting spot on the left (the position Doku occupies).

The issue is even if we move Savinho on we don't really need him especially with us signing Semenyo mid season.

PSG would sell Barcola for €80m because they want Diomande? Possibly says who we should target

Yes, it's been over 12 months since his contract extension was announced.
The player isn't happy with his status at the club and his playing time; logically, he's behind Kvara on the left and Doué on the right. And even in terms of salary, PSG isn't offering him what he's asking for. Liverpool tried to sign him last summer, but PSG refused.

In France, there's talk of Liverpool returning and Arsenal showing interest. He has two years left on his contract. This is the summer for an extension or a sale (I think he'll be sold).

As for Diomande, I don't know what to think. I get the impression he's in the same situation as when we signed Savinho: just one good season at a very young age, but we don't have two seasons or a proven track record at the highest level, like the Champions League, and his price tag will be around €100 million (£85 million).

PSG already has its starting attacking trio in Kvara, Dembélé, and Doué.

With us, it will be for a starting spot, and with his announced price tag, we can't afford to make a mistake.

I still don’t think Diomande moves with the legal proceedings still on going

Surprised there's not more talk around this kid here. One of the next top wingers in the world.

Think if we can nab him for around €70-75M we'll do well. Can't see them getting the €100M figure.

Think the scousers will throw everything at him to replace Salah. He will go there imo.

So how good is this kid? Seems to be the name everyone is after and we've been linked but what does that actually mean.

Im struggling to see a world we pay 100m for someone who has 1 year of Bundesliga experience. But he has some buzz about him thats for sure.

Just from this season, and while it is the bundesliga, he is producing Doku levels of creativity (100th percentile dribbling, and 96th for xA), while out performing him in goals (he is scoring above his xG by a bit).

But maybe its a fluke, the bundesliga tax, hence why the eye test needs to be applied, and I like what I see.

I mean the club wants to pay the same amount for Anderson with 1 good season.

True. I guess there’s more of a guarantee they can cope physically if they’ve played before in England. I know the prime example of a player coming here from a English team and failing is Phillips but that’s done to mentality more than anything in my opinion.

I guess one thing I’ve not factored in when saying I doubt we spend 100 on this kid is money coming in. Apart from the usual academy sales we could see big money coming in for someone like Marmoush as well as others

Gittens had a good season at Dortmund last season and cost £48m. I can't see this lad going for much more.
