A very large proportion of their play was nowt short of pathetic.

Diving at almost every opportunity, anywhere on the pitch.
Just wait for any sort of push-challenge and take a dive. Get a free-kick and waste some time.
Give away a throw in, take a dive and hold your head. Stop play for a bit. Stop the chance of a quick throw.
Opposition actually take a quick throw, kick a ball on from the subs bench to bring it back.
Throw yourself to the floor and pull the defender behind you with you. Claim for a foul.
Any throw ins, throw the ball between team-mates deciding who's going to take it before finally deciding to take a long one. Waste a bit of time.
