Disappointing to hear. Italian football is a shitshow at the moment. Sounds like he got screwed over. Wonder if he forces a move?

He said he was happy Conte was leaving. Why would he force a move now?

He was injured taking a penalty and missed over 60% of games, no one will touch him on his wages.

Kev can say and do what he wants, but I’ve watched him twice for Napoli this season and he looked fucked in both games.
Unfortunately exactly like he was for us the last 2yrs, such a shame his career’s ending like this, but we’ll always remember the genius he was for us

It’s easy to speak with hindsight but he definitely should have gone to MLS after leaving City.

He’s a proud professional and thought he was still capable of doing it in one of Europe’s top leagues (albeit one that’s less physical than the PL) but his body sadly wasn’t up to that.

I hope he has a good World Cup but just how much he’ll feature for Belgium remains to be seen.

Should go out on his own terms at a relatively high level after the world cup imo before he is forced to retire through injury. Sadly, his body is fucked.

Think he's another like Vinnie, destined to return in some capacity.
Not sure i'm seeing that unless it was in a ambassador like role. Kev doesn't come across as somebody destined to coach. He'd be ripping his ginger locks out in frustration at players unable to do things that were simple for him.

Same here..watched Napoli this season a few times with intrigue & Kev does look like a shell of the player he was for us at his peak even in a relatively poor Serie A league.

In retrospect City decided to part ways with Kev at the right time for the club.

It’s a fine balance of refreshing the squad & who can still contribute consistently at the highest level.

Even Enrique suggested last night he needs to refresh what looks his rather young PSG squad to remain competitive.

I'd say that his peak era for us came to it's climax in Istanbul. His body slowly started to let him down from that point on. The guy was an absolute joy to watch. When you think we had Kev, David and Dinho in our midfield for a period!
